Gun Control Works (Part 2)
Previously, I posted about how states with stricter gun control laws have lower firearm death rates. Today I give you this chart which uses international data. The chart is from globalsociology.com. The post also goes about debunking some of the ridiculous rationalizations for the data.
So . . . opponents of gun control . . . if you want to argue that gun possession (any kind of gun with no restrictions) is a right and that preservation of that right is worth the lives that will be lost, go ahead. Let’s have that argument as a nation. But don’t claim that gun control makes us less safe (and cite one or two anecdotes as evidence) in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. You are being misleading or misled if you believe that.
