Statement on the Passing of Alan Colmes
Alan Colmes passed away early Thursday, February 23, after a brief illness.
He was 66 years old.
He leaves his adoring and devoted wife, Jocelyn Elise Crowley.
He was a great guy, brilliant, hysterical, and moral. He was fiercely loyal, and the only thing he loved more than his work was his life with Jocelyn.
He will be missed.
The family has asked for privacy during this very difficult time.

I loved Alan B. Colmes. Cracked me up all the time. I’m very sad he got taken like this. So so not fair to him.

I haven’t listened to his show in a while and didn’t find about his passing until this Friday. Really sad news…
While I hardly agree with Mr. Colmes political views, I always admired his ability to articulate his political views in a civil manner. He was a smart guy, but who would respect people who had differences of opinion, a lesson people from both sides could learn from.
He genuinely believed in what he stood for. I really enjoyed the exchange of ideas and the way he treated his audience. He has proved his compassionate side when helping Ron, a person with disabilities and caller to the show. I hope Ron is doing ok. Regular listeners will know what I’m talking about.
Alan was a kind, witty and generous human being who had his heart in the right place. My heart goes out to his family & friends. May his soul rest in peace.

It’s been five months, and I still miss this show and miss hearing AC & the regular cast of callers on a weekly basis. For the rest of my life, I’ll never be able to hear the phrase “you liberals” without immediately thinking “yes, I am ‘you liberals'”.
I hope you’re doing well up there Alan.

A little like losing Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon.

Dear Alan: Well, we’re nine months into the term of The Great Schmeckle and much to my surprise the entire human race still hasn’t perished in a nuclear fireball. But there isn’t a day that goes by that some of us don’t miss hearing the amiable ranting and cheerful talk of Alan Colmes. And if there is a God in heaven then maybe our memories of you will help get us through the ever-evolving disaster that republicans have unleashed on the world.

Alan, thank you for rising above the rhetoric that so many of your followers are incapable of.
RIP, sir.

And thanks, Alan, for always trying to speak the truth, unlike so many minions of The Great Schmeckle, D.J. Trump.

Didn’t agree with ya much except on issues of human rights but ya were always civil and honest.
Two traits sorely needed and missed today.
