Trump lawyer Cohen changes his story
Michael Cohen, a prominent attorney for Donald Trump, is using the Washington Post to change his story regarding hand-delivering a “secret” Russian plan sanction relief plan to that country’s officials before Trump took the presidential oath of office – working as a go-between with admitted mob lawyer Felix Sater, also a Trump associate. It’sdamage control, bigly!
The [New York] Times reported that Cohen said he left the proposal in a sealed envelope in the office of then-national security adviser Michael T. Flynn while visiting Trump in the White House. The meeting took place days before Flynn’s resignation last week following a report in The Washington Post that he had misled Vice President Pence about his discussions in December of election-related sanctions with the Russian ambassador to the United States.
Cohen, speaking with The Post on Sunday, acknowledged that the meeting took place and that he had left with the peace proposal in hand.
But Cohen said he did not take the envelope to the White House and did not discuss it with anyone. He called suggestions to the contrary “fake news.”
“I acknowledge that the brief meeting took place, but emphatically deny discussing this topic or delivering any documents to the White House and/or General Flynn,” Cohen said. He said he told the Ukrainian official that he could send the proposal to Flynn by writing him at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Worth pointing out: the plan would in effect sell out Crimea and its strategically located port to the Russians:
The Times reported that the proposal discussed at last month’s meeting included a plan to require the withdrawal of Russian forces from Eastern Ukraine. Then Ukrainian voters would decide in a referendum whether Crimea, the territory Russia seized in 2014, would be leased to Russia for a 50-year or a 100-year term. Artemenko said Russian leaders supported his proposal, the Times reported.
The NY Times, needless to say, is stickign to its story.

Enough with the “fake news” claims already. It’s not fake news when someone says something you don’t like or don’t agree with, even when something they report is not true. Fake news is a site that tries to fool viewers into thinking that it’s a news site, when it was completely fabricated. In spite of what trump says, CNN is not fake news. Neither is Fox News. Fox is biased news, but it’s not fake. CNN is biased too. All real news sources are biased to some degree. This is just one more thing that trump has gotten wrong, and he keeps beating it to death.

Fox News is in a league of their own…fake news? What is misinformed? What is directly contradicting, evidence based facts and truths if not fake news…Fox is an interesting topic…there are many sources who have confirmed that Fox viewers are more misinformed than any other groups…is that Fake News? I couldn’t tell ya myself, but it really bothers me that Fox gets away with it…A foreign owned propaganda outlet for this American Abomination of a president…and the republicans are making full use of this fact….while they dismantle OUR government….

I agree, it is definitely slanted, it is the de facto house organ of the GOP. But fake news is Breitbart, Infowars and Newsmax. At least Fox has some actual news content, and there is some journalism going on there. Those other three are not close to being news, but a lot of people, including trump, treat them as if they are news.

yeah…I would be very careful with fox news…they have a lot of viewers who believe every word that comes from them, including the moron trump…

The fact that he loves “Fox and Friends” tells you everything. That show makes “Today” look cerebral.

Well said and a great statement defining the difference.

Judging by who they include that’re NOT on the right, I think the fake news checker needs some fake news checking of it’s own. This site is conspicuous by it’s absence.

Fox kisses his ass. The IC doesn’t.
He always goes with the ass-kissers.

Not only does fox report stuff with dubious sources, but omits certain subjects and stories that would give their audience the full story.

I don’t see anything about this guy being a lawyer: “Felix Henry Sater (born Haim Felix Sater; March 2, 1966) is a Russian-born American real estate developer and managing director of Bayrock Group LLC, a real estate conglomerate based out of New York City, New York. Sater has been an advisor to many corporations, including The Trump Organization….” Wiki also states he’s served time for assault and plead to fraud.
