‘The Last Jedi’ details (officially) leak

The full title of Star Wars, Episode VIII has been revealed – but little else, other than tantalizing teasers released Monday and reported in Entertainment Weekly:

Mark Hamill… tells Ryan Pearson of the Associated Press that he has known the real name of the movie since last year, when writer-director Rian Johnson filled him in during the shoot.

“I said, ‘Don’t tell me these things! I talk in my sleep!’ They have us so jacked up with paranoia over leaks,” Hamill said. “It’s funny, back when we were making the original, nobody cared.”

Hamill said the title for the film, which opens Dec. 15, has a “real samurai” feel. …

Variety has more details:

[Carrie Fisher] wrapped shooting last July, so producers will not have to address her death until the ninth film, which will begin shooting in 2018.

On the other hand, her daughter, Lourd, will have a bigger role in Episode VIII as Lieutenant Connix.

“Connix is back and better than ever,” she said, according to Screen Rant. Lourd added that she will have more than just one line compared to her cameo in the past.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” will be released on Dec. 15.

Nite: it just occured to this wruter that “Jedi” can be singular or plural… hmmm…
