Trump threat: ‘The head of the government ethics ought to be careful’

The threat comes via Reince Priebus.

Priebus, chief of staff to President-elect Donald Trump, issued a stern warning to the director of the U.S. Office of Government Ethics on Sunday.

Walter Shaub Jr., who heads the ethics office, has been sounding the alarm about Trump’s decision to turn the management of his business over to his sons instead of setting up a blind trust.

“I don’t think divestiture is too high a price to pay to be president of the United States of America,” Shaub said in a speech last week.

On Sunday, Priebus suggested that Shaub should “be careful” about criticizing Trump.

“The head of the government ethics ought to be careful because that person is becoming extremely political,” Priebus said, adding that Shaub “may have publicly supported Hillary Clinton.”

    this is not a good thing, is it? first the congress tries to kill the OGE, while no one seemed to be watching….The attacks will continue until the OGE is gone…and then swamp will bloom with ethics violations…the war on transparency, decency, honesty is in nuclear mode…

    ‘be careful’ , doesn’t sound very democratic to me, but I can not see the Trump Administration being very democratic

    New rules of conduct go into effect on Jan. 20:
    1) Trump Administration’s political opponents are not to speak unless spoken to … lest they never be heard from again.
    2) Criticism of Herr Trump by the media is henceforth verboten.
    3) Only those members of the news media who have demonstrated their complete loyalty and devotion to their new glorious Leader shall be granted access to the White House.

    Donnie’s fascist regime is shaping up pretty much as we had feared.
