Trump will not divest, no blind trust
What Trump announced was not a divestment.
He will donate to the United States government all profits from foreign government payments to his hotels, the officials said, describing the arrangements as voluntary measures taken to answer concerns about potential conflicts of interest that would allow Mr. Trump to focus on running the country.
The Trump Organization will also refrain from entering into any new deals with foreign partners, his legal advisers said, backing off from an earlier claim by Mr. Trump that his company would have “no new deals” of any kind during his presidency. Instead, the Trump enterprise will have to clear any new transactions with an ethics adviser to be chosen by the president-elect in coming days. That ethics adviser will vet them for potential conflicts, using a standard that his advisers said had not yet been agreed upon.
The long-promised specifics Mr. Trump’s advisers provided on Wednesday left dozens of unanswered questions about whether or how the incoming president would avoid conflicts as commander in chief.

Oh…and he also said he never had any financial ties to Russia. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/29913fe25fb25e222e1164272cf97ab9567ef338ed7dbde83d826a8f3c1b0a7f.png

…. and sourced
I am not sure how the deplorables will explain how “a lot of money pouring in from Russia” actually means Trump has “NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA”. But I am sure they will find a way.
After all, this is the crew which has transformed p*ssy grabbing from an act of sexual assault to a qualification for the Presidency.

Executive Talk: Donald Trump Jr. bullish on Russia and few emerging markets
HAZEL HEYER, SPECIAL TO ETN SEP 15, 2008
“And in terms of high-end product influx into the US, Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets; say in Dubai, and certainly with our project in SoHo and anywhere in New York. We see a lot of money pouring in from Russia. There’s indeed a lot of money coming for new-builds and resale reflecting a trend in the Russian economy and, of course, the weak dollar versus the ruble,” he said.

I think impeachment is a near certainty. The republicans just aren’t saying much about it yet because they are going to hold it over his head as a threat to get what they want out of him. It’s coming though, just as soon as they think they have used him for all that he’s worth.

Every day it’s a different story and they always turn out to be fiction.

*He will donate to the United States government all profits from foreign government payments to his hotels, the officials said*
Has he ever followed through with one of these kinds of promises? Will this be similar to the various donations to charities he has promised? (And, obviously, even if he were to miraculously do something he promised to do – it isn’t near enough to deal w/ all his conflicts of interest)

An attorney from the Brookings Institute was on tv just after the debacle, and tore apart the silly defense that tRump’s pathetic lawyer attempted to make, with the table full of files next to her.
Lawrence Tribe has also made the case that tRump will be in violation of laws and the constitution, and from day one, will be targeted with legal filings.

When was the last time a Presidential elect bought his attorney with him to answer questions at a press conference? https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/a207cc8336bbb96bae2b120d3c2e3f07e0268ddbd807fbec9f15981eb0e71296.jpg

“Quid pro quo” may become a primary motivator in Trump’s foreign policy activities.
Cuz according to Donnie’s handlers, there’s no such thing as “conflict of interest” anymore.
Want us to back off political pressure regarding your lack of civil rights? Give Donnie a hyuuge parcel of land and free labor to build his next hotel.
Yep — Trump truly does aspire to become our Profiteer-in-Chief.
