Mattis vs. Flynn.

Trump has a history of setting up rivalries among his advisers, and it appears he’s likely to have a big one on his national security team.

Flynn reportedly sought to block Mattis’s nomination because he did not want a general with higher ranking than him in the Cabinet.

And according to The Washington Post, a power struggle has already begun between the Trump transition team and Mattis over who should serve in top slots at the Pentagon.

The potential rivalry is almost certain to be raised at Mattis’s confirmation hearings next week, especially since it gives Democrats an opportunity to express their misgivings about Flynn’s role in the White House.

    The entire republican party will be dealing with rivalries and jockeying for power very soon. One party in power, with no strong adversary, they will turn against themselves to see who should be on top. Especially with a weak incompetent president who is nothing more than bloviating buffoon.

    Flynn is a very dangerous man who was canned by the Obama administration by James Clapper the DNI. He has many axes to grind. He is the a$$ kisser in chief replete with conspiracy theories and fake news stories that he spreads by social media just like his new besty Vladimir Trump. I am positive he was behind the end of Mike Rogers having a position in the new administration and James Woolsey’s recent departure.
    I have observed this incoming mess to be worse than a bad soap opera and they haven’t even started the job of governing yet. It is going to be worse than watching a bad soap opera and incredibly scary and dangerous for our country and the world.

          Several months ago I realized I had gotten more and more involved in the national political scene so wasn’t going there very often. It’s a place to relax but I had even gotten involved in local politics so it just didn’t fit in. I’m doing fine thanks and am scheduled to get my port out Wednesday yippy for me! It’s been almost 2 years since I finished chemo and then have had what seems like 10 million tests. My doc finally agreed that it was time to move on and put all of that behind me. Hope to run into you here soon.

            I tend to be a political junkie so these types of sites are where I’m normally found. It was a break from my normal type of site for me. Lots of nice people were there though. One friend I met here on Alan’s site, but he couldn’t handle all the political stuff and ended up at MP’s. He seemed happier there. His avi is Bolt.               I knew Bolt quite well. I didn’t realize that Dee Jay had a site, how long has it been around? Locally writing to my repub. congressperson on his FB page and the same for reps from around the country. I can’t lay my hands on the info right now but I’ll get more info for you. MP’s is great for taking a break from the political scene which we all need from time to time. Do you ever drop by RawStory.com?

                      I remember that she was going to look around and we talked about different places near the ocean and she also mentioned Las Vegas which is where I am.

                I think he had the site previously, but don’t quote me. I guess he offered Marlie a place to keep the gang together after she closed down around January 1st. The break from politics was what Bolt seemed to need. It’s a shame because as a young student of history, he is very well informed and could help people learn things that would make some of history make more sense. It would also be good for compare and contrast to the utter insanity happening now. He’s a sweetie isn’t he?
                I’ve been part of the resistance for about the last sixteen years. I sign lots of petitions every day and make calls regularly. I’ve marched, I’ve protested and was very actively involved in Presidential campaigns for Kerry and Obama.
                I used to be a RS regular. During the primary I left because it became very ugly there. I have not been back, but I will be. I always intended to go back after the election, but since then I’ve been so discouraged I barely show up here of late. :)

                  I initially got involved as a teen in Berkeley so that’s going way back. I’m sorry to hear that she closed it but maybe it was best for her. I’d imagine that it could be quite time consuming. M created the site 3 years ago, she and I met on Epic Times in a chat room they provided for all of us that left Huffington, rg was part of that group also and Tracie also if I remember correctly. We left Epic when some nasty trolls showed up that started some really ugly fights. Epic even opened a room so that people could duke it out if that’s what they wanted, but some of us weren’t interested and the trolls wouldn’t stay in that room. That’s about the time M opened her room.

                    I went to Epoch Times once in a while. Is that what you meant? If so, I was in and out of there a few times, and not consistently. Guess I missed what happened with the trolls. It’s funny that with all of the thousands of people we knew at HP, how we still run across them at various other places. RG and Tracey encouraged me at Alan’s to come to MP.
                    I’ll check out RS a little more fairly soon. :)

                      I was a Bernie fan but I had to say that when it’s over for whatever the reason it’s over p-e-r-i-o-d. And the time to form a 3rd party is not during the campaign season while running a candidate, but do form one and have a candidate to run in 4 years. That’s the reality I think, but to not vote for Hillary was never a consideration when it was time for me to come back to reality.
