Spicer: Maybe we do Twitter and Facebook instead of press conferences

Posted by | December 29, 2016 13:37 | Filed under: Media/Show Business Politics

Sean Spicer isn’t committing to press conferences, as he told Hugh Hewitt.

“Do you expect him to keep up a regular and as energetic a series of press conferences as previous presidents?” Hewitt asked Thursday. “Do you expect him to be more or less engaged than previous presidents with that setting, that formal East Room setting sort of thing?”

“That’s a good question,” responded Spicer, “because I think the thing that you’ve seen with Donald Trump is that he doesn’t look to the past and say ‘I’ve got to conform to these precedents.’ He figures out what’s the best way.”

“And so maybe we do a series of press conferences, but maybe we do some town hall, you know, Facebook town halls. Maybe we go out and solicit input from Twitter. I don’t– the answer is we’re looking at a lot of things,” he continued.

Spicer did say that Trump wouldn’t do away with press conferences entirely, calling them “part of the fabric of our country” that they “have to sort of do.”

    I wouldn’t want a journalist to ask a pointed question or anything…..

Fair, balanced, and nuanced foreign policy boiled down to 140 characters?

      State of the Union:

I am making America great. Media won’t report. Sad!

Maybe they could outfit every house with a telescreen, so we can see his town halls live. Better yet, they can make it 2-way. so they can see that we agree with them.

Trump will never do an interview or a conference without total control, it’s what dictators do.

hmmm…what if ya don’t do either of them? I suppose, soon after martial law is declared, it will be mandatory to have a FB or Twitter account…dark days ahead…dark, indeed…

I have a random paragraph generator that spews out material that makes as much sense as Trump does. Face it, it does ot matter if Trump ever utters another word. Trump and the GOP are good to go and they will party on as they wish until the sh*t finally hits the fan.

Keep hammering: label EVERYTHING favorable to Trump(but filled with lies) that the trumpoons link to as “fake news”, refute EVERY false statement with facts, physically save EVERY webpage that tells the truth, keep a record of EVERY! SINGLE! THING! that you think is relevant!
      You’ve read “1984”.Stoney…I know you…
And you know how things can change/disappear.
Keep the truth alive, at every opportunity.
