Republicans in the House of Representatives have introduced legislation to re-structure Social Security. Republicans, and only Republicans, have tried to privatize Social Security. Republicans have been against Social Security from the day it was conceived.

FDR warned us in a speech he gave.

    Here’s the TRANSCRIPT:

“Let me warn you, and let me warn the nation, against the smooth evasion that says ‘Of course we believe these things.

    We believe in social security.

We believe in work for the unemployed.

    We believe in saving homes.

Cross our hearts and hope to die. (laughter and applause)

‘We believe in all these things.

But we do not like the way that the present administration is doing them. Just turn them over to us. (laughter and applause)

We will do all of them,

we will do more of them,

we will do them better and, most important of all,

the doing of them will not cost anybody anything'” (huge applause)

It’s almost as if the republicans are daring the people to rise up and and start cutting their heads off.

“Federal law prohibits student-loan borrowers from expunging their debt in bankruptcy, except in rare circumstances.
Experts say those laws were designed to prevent borrowers from walking away from debt without making a good-faith effort to repay.”

Isn’t it amazing how laws can be made for the “little people” …
But NEVER go after the wealthy.

Hell, do you know how great our roads would be if they went after the rich, our military would have healthcare for life and you would never find lead in our water supplies ever again.

If the republican controlled congress succeeds
in leaving millions with nothing left to lose
By stripping away all that people have worked for all their lives.
They will soon be requiring massive security where ever they go.
There is nothing more dangerous than a heavily armed, pis*ed off
retired RWNJ with nothing left to lose and plenty of time on their hands.

The problem is that those people haven’e been paying attention and will continue blaming the “other” poor people and vote in even more republicans

      • oldfart December 22nd, 2016 at 10:33

When their check comes with less money in it and their problem becomes choosing between eating, freezing or paying for medications on a monthly basis, It will get their attention.
They can blame others but it will not solve their problem.
They will want answers. They will want action and when they are told by their congressional critter that there is nothing they can do for them, it will get very ugly very quickly.
If republicans truly get their way on this matter, it won’t be a matter of if, it will be a matter of when.

The republicans know who they are hurting and do it anyway. They’ve been doing it forever and have never been held accountable. People aready have lost benefits and such. Then those same people have voted reliably republican afterwards. The republicans tell them its the welfare moochers that are forcing them to cut the seniors benefits.

46% of voters don’t realize that you Republicans are being attacked already, by the Greedy Oil Polluter party of the United States (R) oligarchy. These loons are too cheap to pay pennies for SS & HC of workers who built their Koch Oil & Coal poison slurries. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/197619b11ebd2492f1db60bdb84ec34577d23664669ff291e1ffb4d34641e7d2.jpg

It’s disgusting how the Democrats failed to get this message out during the campaign. They failed to show exactly what will happen once the EPA is gutted and destroyed, what peoples jobs will look like when OSHA and labor safety laws are gone along with any other regulation cuts Carl Icahn has salivated for over the years.
The Democrats failed and lost bad, we only have hope they can stop some of the disaster whats coming, but don’t hold your breath.
