CIA: Russia tried to help Trump win
A secret CIA assessment reveals Russia tried to help Donald Trump win the election.
Click here for reuse options! The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system, according to officials briefed on the matter.
Intelligence agencies have identified individuals with connections to the Russian government who provided WikiLeaks with thousands of hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and others, including Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, according to U.S. officials. Those officials described the individuals as actors known to the intelligence community and part of a wider Russian operation to boost Trump and hurt Clinton’s chances.
“It is the assessment of the intelligence community that Russia’s goal here was to favor one candidate over the other, to help Trump get elected,” said a senior U.S. official briefed on an intelligence presentation made to U.S. senators. “That’s the consensus view.”

I’m sure there is nothing written or any precedence whether a traitor who managed to win an election is still able to be inaugurated or should he/she be disqualified when a foreign state deliberately sabotages the election for his favor?
It certainly seems prudent to not let that individual become President once it’s found his campaign was tainted by one of the countries foremost enemy. I hope no one will try to say Trump didn’t know anything about it, because that would be even harder to believe. He knew, he had to know, there is no way he couldn’t know.
Does America, Democrats as well as Republicans, really want to have a Russian puppet running the Whitehouse? Do the republicans really hate this country that much? He should not be sworn under any circumstances because of this. This surly disqualifies him from our most highest office.

Something tells me the right wing is going to attack the WAPO any second now. It’ll be up to everyone else to attack Russia and Trump for making such a mockery of our electoral process.
Hirightnow December 9th, 2016 at 21:55
They haven’t stopped doing that for some years now.
Foundryman December 9th, 2016 at 21:30
Well at least now we know why Trump hasn’t been getting any security briefings, they probably won’t let him!

Nope. Trump ally Roger Stone made it clear this summer that he was in touch with Wikileaks’ Julian Assange and even tweeted this summer that Podesta should be concerned about forthcoming information.

It’s no longer hyperbole.
America has indeed elected a Moscovian Candidate, and key congressional Republicans have been complicit in this nefarious act.

This should not even be regarded as a partisan issue at all.It is,or has become,an American issue. In light of the new statements and evidence the cia has uncovered, how can something this serious, and this unprecendented be treated as,”business as usual ?”I voted for Hillary, but if the tables were turned and this same info came out about Hillary,I would feel the same way. This is an American issue.Since it is unprecendented, what standards do we have in the legal system to hold by? This election should be voided.Repubs should be just as angered by this as anyone else, but they prove their lust for power at any cost, outweighs their love of country.
