Women had planned a Million Women’s march to protest Trump’s election at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. Protesting on public lands is a time-honored American tradition. Just ask Glenn Beck. But this time, there will be no protests because Donald Trump has filed a permit barring such a thing from happening. According to The Guardian:…

I wonder if it’s possible for someone to file some sort of restraining order to prevent it. This doesn’t sound very American to me.

When we break it down by gender and race, however, we learn that 53 percent of white women cast their ballots for Trump.

We have to assume that this is what white women wanted.

Of the ones who actually voted. All those who didn’t vote should be ashamed of themselves.

The power of celebrity tells me that most of these women that did not vote would have voted for the pumpkin head.

hmmm…I was thinking we had six months before martial law was declared…I might be wrong…

Honestly, I think they need to show up anyway, and hopefully have the numbers making it impossible to stop.

So how can tRump force the NPC to disallow permits now? Isn’t Obama still Pres????

    • Bunya December 9th, 2016 at 14:15

I was thinking the same thing. So, because he won the nomination, he automatically becomes dictator? I thought we at least had until January 20th.

    • Larry Schmitt December 9th, 2016 at 14:26

I was wondering that also, so I did a little investigating. The Post has this:
“But the National Park Service, which handles the permitting, said it does not grant any requests until the Presidential Inaugural Committee, which plans the parade and other events to usher in a new president, maps out where it wants to hold inauguration-related activities.”
So the NPS is not actually blocking anyone, they can’t issue permits until the inauguration committee tells them what areas they plan to use. Now it could be that the committee is deliberately stalling to make it harder for others to get their permits, but what the NPS is doing is normal procedure.

The first amendment says nothing about permits.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

But it’s normal for jurisdictions to issue permits for large assemblies. Not having a permit would not prevent large numbers of people from showing up on their own, but an organization normally needs a permit. Don’t ask me how the authorities would know whether you’re part of a group or not. I have a feeling lots of protesters will be there, permit or no permit.

But Article XII voids all that when a billionaire Republican is elected, check it out.

      • eyelashviper December 9th, 2016 at 15:36

Thanks for the clarification. No doubt the tRump inauguration deplorables will disallow anyone to protest, anywhere, so perhaps all the protestors should quietly join the crowds around the parade route and in front of the stand, and protest when tRump shows his face.

It would be great to hear resounding boos when he appears. Take your “mandate” and shove it!

Dissent is once again unpatriotic starting January 20th, 2017.

Just like it was under Bush the Lesser.

    Got it.

    • anothertoothpick December 9th, 2016 at 14:24

      It’s not really dissent..

It is just pumpkin head telling all the 53% of white women that voted for him to stay home and bake Christmas cookies.

      • whatthe46 December 9th, 2016 at 14:46

well the 53% of white women who voted for the orange POS aren’t interested in boycotting tRump.

Unless they’re having second thoughts after all the sh*t that’s been flying.

          • whatthe46 December 9th, 2016 at 14:50

so far, i’ve only read a couple who have had second thoughts, so you’re right there. however, they don’t need to show up, it’s because of their ignorance we’re in this sh!t hole. so to hell with all of ’em.

    • Red Mann December 9th, 2016 at 19:59

Remember it is treason to disagree with a Republican President, it is a patriotic duty to attack a Democratic President.

  7. mea_mark December 9th, 2016 at 15:26

What are they going to do, arrest a million women? They would have a nation wide revolt.
