Obmacare repeal-only would leave 30M uninsured
A study shows the Republican plan to repeal Obamacare would leave 30 million Americans uninsured.
Click here for reuse options! The analysis out Wednesday from the nonpartisan Urban Institute predicts heavy collateral damage for people buying their own health insurance independent from government markets like HealthCare.gov.
The study warns that repealing major parts of the Affordable Care Act without a clear replacement could upend the individual health insurance market.
About 22.5 million people would lose coverage due to repeal of the law’s direct subsidies and Medicaid expansion. Another 7.3 million would become uninsured indirectly because of market upheaval.

Most of them. Red staters have no problem voting for republicans who want to reduce their SNAP and other bennies. Again and again.

One of my best friends is 70, and a Trump voter. He is now worried about his Medicare. I have to bite my tongue.

Please let it slip just once, see what happens. Who knows, maybe you will start a conversation and he will admit he regrets his vote.

30 Million?!?!?! Well that will definitely stop the republicans from allowing that to happen, they care too much about their fellow Americans to leave that many without coverage………./s

My silver premium under “Obamacare” last year was $1000 per month, going up to $1250 this year…
Sure, I could get a cheaper plan, one that either doesn’t provide the coverage my wife and I need, or one that ends up costing the same, when you total up the out of pocket expenses.
Most of you here know, although few will admit it, that the ACA was never intended to be the long term solution. It was always just a vehicle to get as many as possible on it, so that when it inevitably collapsed the only choice left would be universal single payer government healthcare.
Hey, how’s the VA doing?
That’s what you’d get, a massive, bureaucratic, ill managed, government run system.

Doing a bit of research, basic health care in Saskatchewan is $0 , may not be the best but it is everything most people need
