Chinese state media slams Trump as ‘diplomatic rookie’

So nice that our president-elect is regarded internationally as a know-nothing.

The rhetoric comes via a front-page opinion piece in the overseas edition of People’s Daily, the biggest newspaper group in China. It characterizes Trump as a “diplomatic rookie” who would be ill-advised to challenge the communist nation’s positions on matters such as trade and Taiwan.

“Provoking friction and messing up China-US relations won’t help ‘make America great again,'” the op-ed warns, borrowing Trump’s signature phrase from the campaign trail.

Another state-run Chinese media outlet, the Global Times, featured a front-page story on Trump’s “inability to keep his mouth shut”, and slammed what it called his “provocation and falsehoods.”

Someone should tell China that most of us in the USofA agree with them about Trump…I think they understand what just happened with the election of Trump…I just don’t think they will be very understanding when dealing with him, though…

Not channeling Chinese fake news, are you Alan?

The articles are clearly presented as OPINION pieces.

Nothing fake about reporting the FACT that the Chinese have published editorials criticizing Dear Leader-elect.

So no, Alan is not channeling fake news, Chinese or otherwise. Next question.

Ah, I see. If Chinese state media publish government propaganda and Alan helps to spread that propaganda, then he’s simply reporting facts (or FACTs, as you say).

Just as Trump reports Russian facts, no?

Not even sworn in yet and already stirring up international scorn. This man is dangerous, far more so than the gullible bewitched by his charisma realize. As the man said himself in his book art of the deal,;”I play to people’s fantasies.Alittle hyperbole never hurts.”A “little” hyperbole never hurts? Other world leaders may not find that sentiment very encouraging.
