Former Senator Bob Dole was behind the Trump call with Taiwan, reports the Wall Street Journal.

Dole told the Journal that the law firm he is affiliated with does work with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the U.S. “It’s fair to say that we may have had some influence,” he said.

Trump’s Friday conversation broke decades of U.S. protocol.

    Bob Dole appeared to be in the care of the only African-American at the GOP convention. Does he really represent anyone or anything at this point.
