Normally I don’t traffic in gossip but this subject has been of interest to many on this site, especially me.  The Nation (specifically @KatrinaNation) tweeted last night that Elizabeth Warren would be nominated to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Agency. H/T to calchala who categorizes the reasons to believe this is for real.

This would be great news and would be a confirmation battle to pick up headlines in the months ahead.  It has excellent electoral prospects if played right (Democrats support someone who looks out for Main Street — Republicans support wall Street) and more importantly, if confirmed, it means that the CFPA will get off to a running start.
