Shouting match between Clinton, Trump aides

A forum at Harvard’s Kennedy School got ugly.

Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri condemned [Steve] Bannon, who previously ran Breitbart, a news site popular with the alt-right, a small movement known for espousing racist views.

“If providing a platform for white supremacists makes me a brilliant tactician, I am proud to have lost,” she said. “I would rather lose than win the way you guys did.”

Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s campaign manager, fumed: “Do you think I ran a campaign where white supremacists had a platform?”

“You did, Kellyanne. You did,” interjected Palmieri, who choked up at various points of the session.

“Do you think you could have just had a decent message for white, working-class voters?” Conway asked. “How about, it’s Hillary Clinton, she doesn’t connect with people? How about, they have nothing in common with her? How about, she doesn’t have an economic message?”

Joel Benenson, Clinton’s chief strategist, piled on: “There were dog whistles sent out to people. . . . Look at your rallies. He delivered it.”

At which point, Conway accused Clinton’s team of being sore losers. “Guys, I can tell you are angry, but wow,” she said. “Hashtag he’s your president. How’s that? Will you ever accept the election results? Will you tell your protesters that he’s their president, too?”

I agree with Conway on what she says about Clinton, although it sounds hypocritical coming from the factually vapid and policy-shy Trump camp. Clinton lost on her record. There was a lot to work with. I reject a Clinton-America political system that is friends with the people who caused 9-11. I directly rejected at the ballot box the politician that promised me that the jobs they were sending to Mexico would be a positive thing for the USA. And I reject a Democratic Party that has rejected me, a working person, just trying to survive. Trump securing the Carrier Plant deal will either be the first in a long line of boosts to the American working class, or else it will become Trump’s “Clash For Clunkers” deal, a singular bright light in an otherwise dismal presidency. I am hopeful for the prior to be true, but after the utter disappointment of the Obama Presidency I am ready for anything.

The Trump Organization was continuing to work on projects in other countries, including, according to a report the Washington Post, registering eight new companies in Saudi Arabia during the 16-month campaign. D’oh! http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2016/12/donald-trump-conflicts-of-interests/508382/#Saudi-Arabia

BHO44 kept 71% of his campaign promises. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/promise-kept/?page=13

The only disappointment is your comments.

I have no control over your emotions. If you look at President Obama’s administration as a “disappointment” , you are entitled to that opinion.

I take your opinion with numerous grains of salt. First of all, HillaryClinton won the popular vote. So to say she “lost on her record” is beyond ridiculous. More people wanted her in the White House than wanted Donald Trump.

As far as the “disappointment” over President Obama, General Motors is thriving thanks to him, and it saved hundreds of thousands of jobs nationwide, not just 1,000 in Indiana. As a bonus, he did not have to bribe anyone with tax cuts to do it.

I too though am ready for anything. In a country where a significant number of people are so disconnected from reality that they consider the Obama Presidency a “disappointment” when every objective measurable that impacts our dailylives has improved under his leadership, I think electing Donald Trump is just the beginning of the nightmare.

      Speaking of disappointments,
Be glad you don’t work for/at Carrier.

Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s campaign manager, fumed: “Do you think I ran a campaign where white supremacists had a platform?”-Campaign CEO Bannon is well proven an anti-Semitic, xenophobic white supremacist who nurtured klansmen endorsements from (R-LA) David Duke, AmRen Jared Taylor, etc.

Every 16 years the dimmest most uninformed elect the least intelligent e.g. Trump, Donnie’s faux news casters make Bush Jr look like a genius. Eight years later the Dems always elect the smartest POTUS’ to reverse record low everything; Clinton42, BHO44, etc.
