Trump’s conflicts around the world
Those who spent years attacking the Clintons and their foundation for quid pro quos ought to speak up.
Click here for reuse options!“It is uncharted territory, really in the history of the republic, as we have never had a president with such an empire both in the United States and overseas,” said Michael J. Green, who served on the National Security Council in the administration of George W. Bush, and before that at the Defense Department.
The globe is dotted with such potential conflicts. Mr. Trump’s companies have business operations in at least 20 countries, with a particular focus on the developing world, including outposts in nations like India, Indonesia and Uruguay, according to a New York Times analysis of his presidential campaign financial disclosures. What’s more, the true extent of Mr. Trump’s global financial entanglements is unclear, since he has refused to release his tax returns and has not made public a list of his lenders.
In an interview with The Times on Tuesday, Mr. Trump boasted again about the global reach of his business — and his family’s ability to keep it running after he takes office.
“I’ve built a very great company and it’s a big company and it’s all over the world,” Mr. Trump said, adding later: “I don’t care about my company. It doesn’t matter. My kids run it.”
… a review by The Times of these business dealings identified a menu of the kinds of complications that could create a running source of controversy for Mr. Trump, as well as tensions between his priorities as president and the needs and objectives of his companies.

Imagine if the press covered him fully when he was a candidate, maybe we wouldn’t be dealing with his personal conflicts now as PEOTUS.

pumpkin head has three mottos;
get the money, don’t forget to always get the money, and remember to not forget to always get the money.

And don’t worry about who you trample on your way to get the money.

I hope the electoral college tells the orange one that they can’t elect him unless he separates himself from his business and those running it. If the electoral does elect him with this huge conflict of interest, the people of the United States should sue the electors that vote for him.

better still, they don’t vote for him out of morality. he’s clearly unworthy. vote with the people. we have spoken.

That could cause the trumpites to revolt. This gives the electoral college a legal justification for not electing him. Less chance of trumpites violently revolting like domestic terrorist.

well, there aren’t really that many Trumpers willing to place their lives on the line…they are cowards, after all….

one can only imagine, the amount of jihadis, sitting around their piles of rubble, plotting to hit a Trump property…talk about a “target rich environment”…the jihadis are much smarter than Trump, and those he is starting to surround himself with…the jihadis will strike, it is only a matter of time…I think sometime after January 20th…they are counting on Trump to respond like Trump will…Syria is lost to the Russians…Ukraine will be the next Putin move, and will be with Trump’s blessing…the EC could protect this nation…but won’t…this is really getting ugly…

They also actually believe in what they are fighting for. What does trump believe in? Money? Himself? That’s not enough.

IF he goes to Mexico (or close enough to the border) he’ll wind up in a Mexican prison for tax fraud. My advice would be for him to first and foremost order the pos sob comey to disarm his white racist terrorist thugs and get them off the streets, then send comey to the dungeon at Leavenworth, THEN appeal to the majority of Americans who didn’t vote for him to support a way for him to buy his way out of yet another scam.
