It might be a useful exercise in establishing momentum to amend the Constitution to unequivocally end the EC. But as a practical matter of who gets inaugurated in January, it would be pointless.
Exactly how effective would a President Clinton be with a GOP obstructionist Congress combined with what would most certainly be the most hysterical shrieking from the right wing BS machine, in the history of shrieking.. Almost certainly, none of her SCOTUS nominees would ever see the light of a floor vote.
Let the GOP own this mess. Maybe it will take another decade or two before even working class whites realize that a political party that wants to take away your Medicare and get rid of public schools is in no way, “populist”.

I agree. Even if enough electors changed their votes, congress would not confirm it. And even if Clinton had won, she couldn’t get anything done.
