Wilbur Ross to Commerce

Donald Trump plans to nominate Wilbur Ross to be Secretary of Commerce.

Two senior-level Trump transition team sources told ABC News that Trump will select the billionaire, who is considered by many to be one of Trump’s earliest supporters. The Wall Street Journal also reported Trump’s choice Wednesday evening.

Ross, a chairman and chief strategist of private-equity firm W.L. Ross & Co., has made his wealth by buying and restructuring companies within the manufacturing and steel industries.
