Trump adviser says Elton John to play at inauguration; John camp: No he’s not

Elton John was a Clinton supporter and is an outspoken advocate for gay rights.

Anthony Scaramucci, while praising Trump’s gay rights record, invoked John’s supposed confirmation for the inauguration concert as proof.

“Elton John is going to be doing our concert on the mall for the inauguration,” Scaramucci said.

However, there appears to be one little problem — John is saying he’s not coming.

According to the New York Post, a representative for the ‘I’m Still Standing’ singer said he “will not be performing at Trump’s inauguration.”

As was noted by the Post, Elton John was a Hillary Clinton supporter during the election, stating last month that we needed “a humanitarian in the White House, not a barbarian.”
