Marijuana’s role in the nation’s conversation about drug abuse has been sorely overstated, U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch suggested on Tuesday. Pot isn’t the gateway drug it’s been traditionally billed as, she told a group of Kentucky high school students while discussing the threat and risks of prescription drug and heroin abuse in observance of Prescription…

    the whole discussion about the “opioid” abuse, ignores the fact that there are many, MANY people who are not abusing these prescriptions…Who NEEDS the pain relief…Who cannot afford the more expensive, and less effective synthetic types of pain relief…Until there is a CURE for arthritis, and until there is a BETTER non addictive, and effective pain relief, the Opioid based pain relievers, are our best and mainly only choice…Big Pharma knows this, and they haven’t done much in the way of research into better pain relievers…Don’t place the blame on patients who have no choice that we suffer major debilitating pain…There is no future for arthritis pain sufferers…and all the DEA, and the GOP, and the rest of them can go to hell…

      It is bizarre it has to be said some 70 years after a study conducted by the NY Dept of Health already told us this.

    Marijuana is not a gateway drug to heroin. Marijuana dealers are, however, gateway dealers to heroin dealers, which is why marijuana should be legal and taken out of the hands of big business.

    The only reason marijuana is illegal is because big pharma can’t control it. It’s pretty easy for someone to get seeds and grow their own. When my brother came back from Viet Nam, he had quite a “garden” growing in his closet.

      That’s not their only “tizzy.”On Sept.30 the DEA plans on banning a safe and effective pain relieving herb called KRATOM.Millions have safely used this plant in the form of tea for decades.In the midst of a problem with opioids,they want to ban a natural substance that has been proven to help people avoid opioids.Makes a lot of sense doesn’t it?If this ban is carried out they will be denying millions in chronic pain of a safe alternative to synthetic pain pills.

    Congratulations Mrs.Lynch for finally saying what “we the people” have known and have tried to tell this government for decades.Not only is cannabis NOT a gateway drug,it can also take away the need for other substances since it safely and effectively eases pain and alleviates depression.Now how about doing what should have been done decades ago,and stop this ignorant war on a plant,and legalize at the federal level.Also Mrs. lynch would you please tell the DEA to drop this proposed ban on another harmless pain relieving plant that millions use called KRATOM.Please stop warring against natures gifts,and turning law abiding citizens into criminals with archaic and senseless laws.
