Alabama pastor tells high school football crowd they should be shot if they don’t stand for anthem

Pastor Allen Joyner of the Sweet Home Baptist Church, isn’t so sweet in his views.

[He spoke] prior to a game at McKenzie High School, telling the attendees they should prepare to line up for execution by members of the military.

“If you don’t want to stand for the national anthem, you can line up over there by the fence and let our military personnel take a few shots at you since they’re taking shots for you,” he announced to the cheers of the crowd, according to a Facebook post — since removed — by attendee Denise Crowley-Whitfield…

peaking for Butler County Schools, Superintendent Amy Bryan immediately denounced Joyner’s comments in a statement, saying, “Patriotism should be a part of school events but threats of shooting people who aren’t patriotic, even in jest, have no place at a school. Threats of violence are a violation of school policy and certainly not condoned by the school board.”

Hey pastor, they’re “taking shots” so people have the right to not stand for the anthem. They’re not committing treason, you extremist. Maybe you should be shot. You’re doing more damage than any protester ever could.

What kind of “church” does he belong to? My Pastor would never wish for any of his people to feel any kind of pain, I may have repented by saying a million Hail Mary’s after confession but was kneeling on a padded stool so it didn’t hurt that bad.

  7. Charlie Seivard September 11th, 2016 at 15:57

Please stop referring to this clergy scum as “Pastors”. It give caring pastors a bad name.

I agree with you. What the hell has happened to christianity in America? I often need to remind myself that there still are many sincere and good people that would identify themselves as christians. It is to a point anymore where they really need to speak up and silence the many who give them all a very bad name.Sad!

      • whatthe46 September 11th, 2016 at 20:39

you’re right. it is hard to tell. whether you’re black, red, yellow, white, if you tell me you’re a christian, then i’m thinking nut case. besides, why on earth does someone need to point out their religion is beyond me. i don’t care. it’s what you do and how you treat others and it’s that i base my judgment on. not your religion. so don’t tell me you’re a christian and in the next statement you tell me how much you hate gays.

        • Gary Parillo September 11th, 2016 at 20:46

It hurts the many sincere ones, and I find that sad.Something very evil has hijacked that religion.Seems its getting worse not better. And Trump surrounds himself with the most insane ones of them all.

The ones who keep themselves front and centre with TV, radio, and mega-churches do it for the money. It is an extremely lucrative, and requires no training or education to get started. Actual christians go about their lives giving of themselves, doing good works, loving their neighbours, etc., like their bible says they should do.

            • whatthe46 September 12th, 2016 at 01:18

and they don’t go around saying “i’m a christian.”

            • Gary Parillo September 12th, 2016 at 02:03

Thats right.Whenever they “elevate” themselves above others,as if they have some “special” connection or unique power, then watch out. There is no unique power to be had over others, and true power is expressed through love.

EXCELLENT POINTS. When a person tells me they are a KRISTIAN, then I know, I am talking to a liar, deceiver, hypocrite, and bull chitter. I also know, that person would not give a begging man a dollar or a thirsty man, a glass of water. They hide behind religion, to cover their dirty work and evil hearts.

Pastor,”joy” ner of the “sweet home” baptist church.Sounds all warm and fuzzy, till he opens his nasty mouth.I am sure the majority of our veterans would disagree with Mr.JOYner, and would remind him they fought and many have died for the very freedom of expression that he wants to violate with facist style execution squads. It seems more and more apparant that many of these “pastors” are in the profession they are in because they don’t have the common sense or intelligence to get a real job.

    • whatthe46 September 11th, 2016 at 20:31

it depends on the color of the persons skin that’s protesting.

      • Gary Parillo September 11th, 2016 at 20:43

I know. These phony’s claim to speak for the Christ, and then continuosly violate everything he stood for. There was one story in the gospels where Jesus was asked, what’s the greatest of all the commands, and he responded,”To love your neighbor as yourself.”Violence, racism, bigotry,is every thing the opposite of what was taught, and sadly this nonsense has been happening since the beginning of the religion two thousand years ago.

    • Lyndia September 11th, 2016 at 21:37

You are right. All “men of God” need a job and to stop pimping the people with all of that BS.

BAPTISTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what a loving crowd along with all the other psychotic cult waste.

    • Snick1946 September 12th, 2016 at 10:55

I was raised in Baptist churches. By my early twenties, I was sick of all the nastiness, negativity and outright racism of all the people around me in them. This was in Iowa, not Alabama.
