Sacramento GOPer to rip Trump at Dem convention

Save some popcorn for Thursday night:

On the night that Hillary Clinton accepts the Democratic Party’s nomination for president, Sacramento Republican Doug Elmets, who worked in the Reagan White House and spearheaded construction of a statue of the late president at the California Capitol, will deliver a blistering critique of Donald Trump at the Democratic National Convention.

In his Thursday night address, the Sacramento public affairs consultant will call Trump a “petulant, dangerously unbalanced TV star” and contrast him with Ronald Reagan, he said Monday.

Elmets previously said publicly that he planned to vote for Clinton. Still, he said people will be “a little bit shocked” by what he called a “pretty provocative” speech. In his remarks, he will seek to persuade Republicans and independent voters to shift their support to Clinton

If donald got a 6 point bump from his failed convention, I believe Hillary should get about 25 points from her incredibly diverse and inclusive convention.

We can only hope. As I cited in another post earlier, Romney had a 9 point lead in July 2012 after his convention.

I have read about that today, I wish I could remember those important facts but memory is not my strong suit.

In all fairness, I think it should be pointed out that a California Republican is the political equivalent of non alcoholic beer.

Bernies speech tonight was powerful and emotional. He made it clear that his vision for change, the much needed changes in america, has just begun and will continue.I hope all his followers, and i am one of you, will heed his very wise words, and vote for Hillary.Dont waste your vote, the future of our nation is at stake more than i can ever remember it in my 6 decades.Dont stay home out of protest, your childish protest will backfire on you if that racist rich man gains power.Hillary in spite of her shortcomings will do her best for we the people, will continue the social progress Obama has started, and will implement Bernies vision. It will be slower than we wish, but that is better than not at all.
