WWE legend feels ‘free’ after years of hiding sexuality
Pat Patterson began his wrestling career as a teenager in the late 1950s in Montreal and soon realized that if he wanted to fulfill his dreams of becoming a top wrestling star he would have to move to the U.S.—even though he didn’t speak English. It is so sad that people have to hide their sexuality in what is supposed to be an open society. So many are denied living in the peace of mind that all should be able to equally share. His coworkers show a maturity and good heartedness in acceptance of someone they have known for years, even though they may not understand.

i hate it when i hear these RWNJ’s spew stupidity as in conversion therapy or pray the gay away crap. it’s not a choice PERIOD! no one with an ounce of brain function, would decide to become gay, knowing the hatred would soon follow. just like minorities, they didn’t choose to be born black or brown, and yet are subjected to bitterness and hate filled rhetoric everyday to the point of their being executed because of the color of their skin, seems to have become the norm. people of color are proud of their complexion. well, that is unless you’re keys, alan, carson and a small number of other idiots. so why on earth would any rational thinking human being, suggest that, it’s a mental disorder?

I read medical research that came out MANY years ago, that indicated hormonal studies have proven higher male hormone levels in female gays, and higher female hormone levels in male gays.In other wordsBORN different than majority. In every culture throughout recorded history, there have been gay as well as straight.I hqve read that in some native american tribes, the gay members were revered and considered to have prophetic abilities. The gay people I have known through the years ALL told me that they knew from a young age they felt the difference.I am convinced,as you say, that no one would choose a lifestyle that would cause them so much conflict. It is human ignorance and fear of people different than themselves, that causes so many to be so cruel to others they cannot understand. We must learn to accept others “as they are”, if we will ever grow in consciousness.
