Pulse nightclub owner to lead New York City Pride Parade

This weekend, Barbara Poma will lead the annual NYC Pride Parade.

The NYC Pride parade will pay tribute to those lost and injured in the Orlando massacre this month as the owner of Pulse, the gay club attacked by Omar Mateen, rides the lead float.

And the names of the 49 men and women murdered in the club will also be read aloud at the June 26 event, to be followed by a minute’s silence – with an increased police presence to ensure the crowd’s safety.

The inclusion of Pulse owner Barbara Poma and the wave of horror and sympathy that followed the attacks on June 12 are expected to push attendance for the march even past last year’s phenomenal 1.6million people, The NY Daily News reported.

Any chance during the ceremony she’ll be explaining how Mateen waltzed through the front door with his weapons? I’m pretty sure it was too hot to be wearing a duster.

      “False flag!”-Alex Jones?

See my reply to What’s-His-Whatever below. I didn’t say a damned thing about a false flag, or conspiracy, or coincidence, or anything of the sort. I am asking a simple question that no one seems to be interested in. Can you answer it?

See Mike’s reply above. “He didn’t waltz thru, unless you consider a shootout with an armed off duty cop waltzing … He came in…” — Mike http://disq.us/p/19fve9q

he had been a regular there at least 12 times and likely went nu-noticed. instead of trying to lay blame on her, lay blame on the RWNJ’s that didn’t want to ban those from purchasing weapons who are on the FBI list. this woman did something in honor of her brother and 99 people were gunned down in a place of welcome and she is in pain. she did something for those in a community that don’t get respect as it is, a place to be accepted. you are being extremely insensitive and it’s disgusting. oh wait, that’s the RWNJ’s responsibility. and that is to blame others for their failures.

I’m not blaming her, or anyone for that matter. I’m asking someone, anyone, to answer that simple question. How did this guy get those weapons into that club? That you consider my doing the job that so far not one journalist has done “insensitive” tells me that you don’t really give a damn what really happened, or how to prevent it in the future. I’m far from a RWNJ, and nothing of this event is “my failure”, so save your scorn for someone else.

Lone wolves are the most difficult threat to negate, there are numerous white papers with tactics and strategies outlined.
Homeland Security considers it the #1 threat even above Islamic Terrorism.
          Here’s a link to one.

no, your comment was directed to her as if she had control. and one prevention is, STOP LETTING EVERY TOM, DICK, AND HARRY, purchase guns w/o strict background checks. STOP ALLOWING THE SALE OF FRICKEN WEAPONS MEANT FOR A DAMN WAR! and then guess what, you wouldn’t be asking that question.

He didn’t waltz thru, unless you consider a shootout with an armed off duty cop waltzing … He came in a van, and approached the door shooting, the cop returned fire but it’s pretty much like bringing a straw to a knife fight when you’re up against an AR-15 with a 60 round magazine … within 2 minutes 2 more cops were on the scene returning fire … 7 minutes later there were 100 cops on site … A number of victims were hit by police rounds … You can’t say they didn’t try to stop this guy … I think they were pretty brave, actually
