The viral video showed a white cop attacking a black teen in a bikini.

A Collin County Grand Jury decided not to indict a former McKinney police officer who was seen on videothrowing a teenage girl to the ground at a pool party last summer.

Great. Now other cops will feel free to continue terrorizing American citizens…

And other cops that share his mentality will see this as a green light to commit similar acts.

Yup, lack of accountability and empowering the “bully mentality”.

The worst thing about that situation, IMO, is him waving his gun about – not how he treated the girl.

I’m not sure what folks think cops are expected to do when you don’t follow their orders. If a cop yells at me to get on the ground, I’m not going to be too surprised if he tosses me on the ground if I start screaming at him instead of complying with his instructions. (Every time a cop has yelled at me, and it happened a couple times when I was her age, I did what he told me to do rather than scream back at him. I figured it was a good way to avoid getting thrown on the ground, I suppose)

He didn’t punch her or do anything to seriously harm her, his actions seemed reasonable to me in trying to get her to comply (with respect to the girl, again – he shouldn’t have been waving his gun about unless he was planning on shooting someone, and I didn’t see any reason for him to shoot anyone).

He didn’t handle the situation well, but I wouldn’t throw him in the pokey for it. He’s no longer a McKinney cop. That’s enough, imo.

Well said. And yes, some people just don’t know how to behave.

100% sure the pig would have treated the young girl gentler if she was white!!!!!
Any other excuses for his overbearing, inconsiderate behavior is bullFCKGshit to me!

Clearly, it’s nearly impossible to convict a cop of anything.

But I sure hope this cop is never hired again. But, I won’t be surprised if he is.

He will be hired by another department in another state or another city. Turns out, their reason for leaving or dismissal (if it isn’t criminal charges) is not shared with other police departments that are out of state or in another city. Happens all the time. Thank you Police Union, helping the Blue Wall of silence along…
