Muslims to outnumber Christians in Europe
Belgium’s Minister of Justice Koen Geens says “this is reality.”
Click here for reuse options! His comments were followed by Belgian deputy prime minister Jan Jambon warning against Europeans “making an enemy of Islam” describing it as “the worst thing we can do”.
Speaking at the EU Parliament, Mr Geens said: “In Europe, very shortly we’re soon going to have more practising Muslims than practising Christians.”
“That is not because there are too many Muslims, it is because Christian are generally less practising¿ Europe does not realise this, but this is the reality.
Mr Jambon then added: “I’ve said a thousand times, the worst thing we can do is to make an enemy of Islam. That is the very worst thing we could do.

It will be a fact in America as well. They have huge families.

They’re going to go from less than 1% to more than 70% based on birthrate?

I’m sure immigration will help in the numbers. Well, they did in Europe. Not sure what your government has planned for your country.
Come one, come all, may be the new rallying cry. I’m sure most Americans will readily embrace this influx of mostly high skilled workers.
lol

Where do you write from?

Europe’s immigration policies are very different from ours. Are you talking about influx of a whole 10,000 well vetted refugees, mostly women and children. We are in much more danger from the RW crazies in America than any outside force.

I’m sure immigration will help in the numbers.
Well, I don’t doubt arithmetic is happy you acknowledge it exists.

Family size is correlated with poverty rates. Muslims in developed nations generally have smaller families. So the only way that Islam will dominate in the way you describe is if European countries and America force them to live in poverty.

Won’t even be close…Hispanic demographics are all consuming in the Americas…Muslims stand no chance mathematically.

There’s not that many ‘christians’ in Europe. They’ve been under the thumb of religion for centuries and are now throwing off that burden. In one or two countries, christians make up less than 10%-15% of the population.

Most of them have evolved past the point, of needing a guy in the Sky. They still keep many of the traditions like Christmases and Easter ect.
Perhaps those millions of muslims that have been so kindly invited by Merkel and all far left governments of Europe will see an increase in religiosity again? But this time it will be Islamic. That will be special, won’t it?
Gina Bousquet April 26th, 2016 at 18:03
Are you a conservative European?
bpollen April 27th, 2016 at 06:47
Are facts, demographics, and a global economy “special?”
Mike April 27th, 2016 at 08:26
Muslims suffer the same fate when reaching Europe…only 60% of 1st gen are religious and less than 35% of 2nd gen
Religion is on a world-wide decline….good news for possible world peace.

I don’t see that it makes any difference. Many of the religious people in the US are trying to force others to abide by their religious beliefs and want to use religion, a corrupted form, to make government policy……right up to where the Bible says in over 3,000 places to take care of the poor. That part of the Bible, the part mentioned most, they want to ignore.
Anybody believing in religion and sky daddies isn’t thinking with a full deck. We have had Muslims here since George Washington’s day…..no big problem. We have had acts of terrorism from Christians too…….probably some from non-believers as well.
clemans April 27th, 2016 at 08:46
the number of non-believers is growing in the US. Atheists as a group are second in number to the religious-right
