Why Clinton supporters come off as more liberal than those of Sanders
Supporters of Hillary Clinton are more open to voting for Bernie Sanders if he is the nominee than the converse. They, then, are more liberal in their thinking and not practicing left-wing totalitarianism.
Click here for reuse options!…a new McClatchy-Marist poll that finds a full 25% of Bernie Sanders‘ supporters vowing not to support Hillary Clinton if she becomes the Democratic nominee:
…By comparison, Clinton supporters are considerably more open to supporting Sanders should he overtake her large lead in delegates and win the nomination. Just 14 percent of Clinton supporters would shun him in the general election, while 79 percent would support him, the poll found.

Trying to get us to eat our own…???
Even a left-wing totalitarian who doesn’t vote is better than any R who does….

I’m sorry, IMO a left-wing totalitarian (whatever that is, I don’t accept this limited definition) who doesn’t vote for the Dem opposition is a dummy. Not voting for the Dem is like a vote for a rwnj.

“left-wing totalitarian”?
You vill treat each other mit respect, treat ziss planet as you vould your own home, undt show concern for your fellow man, UNDT YOU VILL LIEK IT!!! FREIES LAND! FREIES LAND UBER ALLES!!!”
(Yeah, yeah…”fall back on the German stereotype for a laugh, why don’t you?”)

That’s a pretty weird definition of liberal, lol.

True liberals are too smart to even consider voting for Donald Trump.
CandideThirtythree April 7th, 2016 at 04:03
It is not that they are voting for Trump, they might be voting for Jill Stein or an Independent or Green party candidate. There are usually several people on the ballot that no one has ever heard of each election cycle.
Many of the people voting for Sanders in the primary are the same people who never vote at all, some are middle aged and have never voted before. If he is not on the ballot, they will go back to just not voting.

When I mentioned on the “Your Post, Your Thoughts…” thread that there were no headlines about Sanders win I did not mean let’s make them go at each other’s throat with a Clinton vs Sanders article. You mean Sander’s supporters are less liberal than Clinton’s supporters judging by the candidates policies and stances, for instance?
CandideThirtythree April 7th, 2016 at 04:00
Clinton’s voters are mostly democrats, Sanders Voters are mostly Independents, and this article is just about who is a party loyalist and who isn’t.
Gina Bousquet April 7th, 2016 at 11:04
That’s my understanding too.
mea_mark April 6th, 2016 at 20:07
And no mention of the Green Party and Jill Stein as an alternative. I see the hands of the very rich at play here casting a false narrative over all those that are willing to let themselves be duped by the fear that MSM spreads as it chases after corporate ad dollars.

IMO, if Sanders supporters are saying that they won’t support Clinton in GE are just saying it because she is seen as NOT authentic and NOT trustworthy based on the following, but not limited to:
1. Her and Bill made ridiculous millions for speeches to banks, finance, pharmaceutical and several corporations and ridiculously pretending that they’re not bought by them.
2. People feel that Clinton is more of a republican in many ways than a democrat. I won’t waste time to list down why she is or isn’t.
3. She is a “ME TOO” when she really is not to some of Sanders’ popular opposition (TPP, fracking, Keystone XL pipeline, etc, etc, etc)
4. She is more like saying “NO YOU CANT” to some of Sanders’ popular proposals when she used to be for them (single payer healthcare, $15/h minimum wage, etc).
5. She lies (please don’t ask for examples).
Of course, I think Sanders supporters will support a Dem nominee over a Republican in the GE, but it’s still in the primary and they love what Sanders stands for and his consistent record of fighting for the people and justice for decades.
His judgment is always spot on than not.

I don’t think that is the definition of a liberal as much as the definition of a party loyalist.
CandideThirtythree April 7th, 2016 at 03:52
Are they still just polling democrats?
If they are polling people who the DNC would not even allow a vote in the primary, the 43% of voters who are not registered to either party, you can see why they would be upset and have no loyalty to the DNC.
I don’t think they polled JUST democrats when they did the polls for the general election and those polls show Sanders winning by a huge margin. 43% of the voting population is a large number to be ignoring.

It’s not a lie that she lies and Hillarybros just can’t handle the truths about her.

Right. 30% of Clinton supporters said they wouldn’t vote for Obama if he won the 2008 presidential nomination. Did that make them more liberal or more loyal or more determined to win? We need to WAIT and have this conversation AFTER the primary result is determined instead of the mental masturbation of arguing hypotheticals.
