Federal judge strikes down Alabama anti-abortion law
This may be a signal to other states that requiring abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at local hospitals won’t fly.
Click here for reuse options!U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson in Alabama issued the 53-page ruling, saying the provision in the state’s so-called Women’s Health and Safety Act would effectively close the only abortion clinics in Alabama’s three largest cities: Montgomery, Mobile and Birmingham.
“The staff-privileges requirement would make it impossible for a woman to obtain an abortion in much of the state,” Thompson wrote. “It is certain that thousands of women per year – approximately 40 percent of those seeking abortions in the state – would be unduly burdened.”

Well if the Merrick Garland nomination isn’t voted on, President Obama should nominate Judge Myron.

And they will be able to nominate judges for lower courts and fill them with liberal judges. It will change the court system for a generation.

Is there anybody STILL confused why republicans don’t want
our twice elected president to fill all those empty seats in the judiciary ?…Really ????

Another justified ass kicking decision against the Republican man-made laws against women.
I hope this kind of win will go on on all other Republican states that have mean-spirited, oppressive, asinine law against women.
I’m sure Republican assholes’ mothers, sisters and daughters will be happy about this…. …. unless they are as brainwashed and as stooopid as their men.

i will bet my last bottom dollar that those repuking assholes, mothers, daughters and sisters, are secretly happy inside, while pretending to their repuking husbands, fathers, brothers and male family members alike, to be so disturbed and upset.

“…would be unduly burdened.”
That was the goal of the legislation. Not concern for the welfare of patients.
