Cruz: Police should patrol Muslim neighborhoods
Donald Trump wants more torture, and Ted Cruz wants to spy on Muslims.
Hours after explosions tore through the Belgian capital of Brussels, killing dozens of people, Ted Cruz called for police patrols of Muslim neighborhoods in the U.S. “We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized,” the presidential candidate said in a statement.
The proposal, tucked into a larger missive about “political correctness and fear,” makes clear an important truth about Cruz: Though Donald Trump’s call for banning all Muslims from entering the United States made all the headlines, his opponent’s views on Islam are no less radical.

Unless said police are going to enter their homes and tie these people up while they are in the act of planning an attack, that makes no sense at all. First, neighborhoods in many places throughout our country are a mix of races and religions. Second, many ISIS recruits are citizens of the country they live in and may not be obviously Muslim in their looks. Talk about profiling.

Jesus Christ. This is an absolutely awful thing for an American to say. My father spent 6 years fighting in WW2 to eliminate any such fascist threat to Canadians (the same applies to USA ) and he’d be rolling in his grave if a politician proposed anything like this. An absolute disgrace to all the sacrifice, blood and sweat to make our countries free.
