Super Saturday Winners: Some Surprises
The front-runners are not having a great night, but they are still front-runners – so far.
10:45pmEDT: As Donald Trump began his “victory” speech, the networks projected him as winner of the Kentucky Republican caucus (ot a coincidence, obviously). Trump said he was not surprised at Ted Cruz’s victory in Maine – because of its proximity to Canada! (Rim shot.) He also took a shot at the GOP establishment, said he wanted to replace Justice Scalia with “someone great,” and zinged rumors that there might be a third party candidate when if he emerges as nominee.
10:15pmEDT: The one race yet to be called is in Kentucky, where around half of the votes in the GOP caucus have been counted, and Trump maintains a lead over Cruz, with Kasich and Marco Rubio vying for third place.
9:24pmEDT: Per FOX News Channel, the AP is calling the Louisiana GOP primary for Trump. The call was reported about ten minutes later on CNN and MSNBC.
9:14pmEDT: CNN, MSNBC project Hillary Clinton as winner of Louisiana’s Democratic primary.
9:03pmEDT: MSNBC calls Nebraska’s Democratic caucus for Bernie Sanders.
9:00pmEDT: Louisiana and Nebraska too early to call.
8:48pmEDT: Maine is calling the results of their GOP caucus live on MSNBC, and judging from preliminary numbers it looks like Cruz has won, with about 1/3 more votes of Trump. The final delegate tally: Cruz gets 12, Trump gets 9, and Kasich 2.
8:40pmEDT: Multiple sources have already called both Kansas races. Winner of the GOP caucus is Cruz, and Sanders defied the polls to pull of a win on the Democratic side.
OTTER CREEK, IA- NOVEMBER 6: A man puts on his “I Voted” sticker after voting at a polling station on November 6, 2012 in Otter Creek, Iowa. U.S. citizens go to the polls today to vote in the election between Democratic President Barack Obama and Republican nominee former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. I love this. The more Cruz wins, the more Drump pontificates. Please let this develop into an all out war that can only be settled by both wrestling one another in a vat of lime Jello. It would still qualify as a Republican debate…

It’s a good time to tune in to Mark Levin’s radio show to hear him screaming about Trump.
It is hoped here that conservatives notice the pass Trump is getting from the likes of Limbaugh and Savage on being a conservative, and begin to give them the heave-ho….

Delegate count (AP) Ronald Trump 378, Cruz 295, Rubio 123 and Kasich 34. Dr. know little Carson and Jeb surrendered unarmed. That’s what matters most – that delegate count.
