David Hirsch, a.k.a. Dave "Doctor" Gonzo*, is a renegade record producer, video producer, writer, reformed corporate shill, and still-registered lobbyist for non-one-percenter performing artists and musicians. He lives in a heavily fortified compound in one of Manhattan's less trendy neighborhoods.
* Hirsch is the third person to use the pseudonym, a not-so-veiled tribute to journalist and author Hunter S. Thompson, with the permission of his predecessors Gene Gaudette of American Politics Journal (currently webmaster and chief bottlewasher at Liberaland) and Stephen Meese at Smashmouth Politics.

Now that’s cold. Sometimes I’m really glad I live in Texas. It’s going to be in the low 70’s today, that sounds so much nicer.

Can you imagine living in such a cold State.
mea_mark February 15th, 2016 at 10:36
Only in my nightmares. I don’t do good in cold weather.
tracey marie February 15th, 2016 at 11:08
Neither do I, I hate snow.

Eh, you get used to it. I’ve lived in Chicago my whole life and put up with the sub-zero weather, and it sucks, but you get used to it.
.
On the bright side, our bugs remain relatively small, unlike the spiders in Florida, which reach the size of Volkswagons.

Texas has large spiders and large roaches…that FLY at you.

One good reason I don’t live in Texas – flying spiders.
tracey marie February 16th, 2016 at 10:34

The coldest temperatures are often recorded on top of Mt Washington. I’ve been up there a few times. My son grew up with a lad whose father lived there and manned the observatory.
It’s cold yes, but few places on this amazing planet match the splendor and scenery God chose to bestow on New Hampshire.

I love the cold and snow, when we would go on vacations where it was snowing, I rarely ever put my coat on. I used to say the colder the better but -114??? I draw the line there, that really is too cold.
