I highly doubt he has Springsteen’s approval and it’s been said he was using his music too. I haven’t seen anything from him like she has done. I also think he is ignoring these artist’s wishes. Steven Tyler was on Colbert and complained about him using “Dream On.”
I can’t bring myself to watch any of those messes to hear what music is being used.
Unless the media is paying for the music, I think he is stealing it. They have been a SuperPAC funding his entire “campaign” with all the time he wants on TV to the exclusion of everything and everybody else. I can’t imagine Bruce finding any amount of money worth having himself connected in any way to this mess.
You are assuming that the rights are bought directly from Bruce Springsteen, usually it’s the label that licences out the music and they may be less picky.

Good for her, no one has the right to use the artistic work without preapproval.

Last I heard, Rush Limbaugh was still using the Pretenders/Chrissie Hynde song My City Was Gone.
But it is my understanding that he paid a hefty rights fee which Hynde donated to charity.

I hope it went to a drug rehab center in his name.

I remember him speaking out in a previous campaign, so I’m not sure what is happening this time.

Frequently it really doesn’t matter, they can tell the label they don’t like it… and it’s up to the label to decide if they care or not.

Anyone ever notice that it’s always conservatives who steal music and get called out by the musicians?
