George Takei: Trump Needs To Learn From American History
George Takei, appearing on Broadway in Allegiance, about his life as a child in an internment camp, told me Donald Trump could learn from his show. In fact, there is a seat reserved every night for him at New York’s Longacre Theater, but so far he hasn’t accepted the invitation.
(Photo by Victoria Will/Invision/AP)We discussed the ignorance that led to internment camps and how that ignorance is“blood-boiling”for Takei. WE then addressed how Donald Trump is fostering the same atmosphere today. He told me he’s supporting Hillary Clintonfor president.

You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make the horse drink it.

You can lead an elephant to water, but you can’t get it to admit that water exists unless Obama is against it.

(In Liberace’s voice…) Hey, George!
Back on Star Trek, he was just an undeveloped character (as if we needed more Shatner) but now he always makes me smile. A smart, funny man.

Trump: “History? History’s for losers! If you want history, baby, start taking notes when I talk! I’m the most excellent speaker you’ve ever met! Like when I said I wanted to bang my daughter…”
