More Police Departments Putting God On Patrol Cards
They’re adding “In God We Trust” to police cars.
Police cars in Cleveland, Texas, are the latest to receive a decal that reads: “In God We Trust.”
The stickers were provided by Good Promotions, a local business, and approved by the police department, Your Houston News reported. Cleveland ISD Police Chief Rex Evans says the message is empowering and patriotic.
“Katy Fire Department just put the motto on all its fire trucks. A lot of agencies are doing this these days,” Evans said. “The (attorney general) ruled that the motto of our nation is ‘In God We Trust’, so how could it be wrong?”
Despite the questions the decals raise about the separation of church and state, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a legal opinion that the motto doesn’t violate the First Amendment, according to Constitution Daily.

What does this gain them? Does it help them to “protect and serve?” Someone do a study and find out if they do their job better before or after, or if, as we all know, there is no f*cking difference. It’s pandering.

Sounds fair to me. It plainly says In God We Trust, therefore they (Christian cops) can only write out tickets to Christians speeders/etc. Since I’m not a Christian, I can not be given a ticket. Like having a Jury of one’s peers, I can speed and break as many traffic laws as I please, that is until they have unique patrol cars that cater to my particular faith.
