Military Opening All Combat Positions To Women
All military combat positions will be open to women beginning in 2016, announced Defense Secretary Ash Carter.
Carter’s decision comes almost three years after his predecessor Leon Panettaannounced that he had lifted the two-decade ban that prevented women from most combat jobs.
Since the start of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, more than 290,000 women have served in those combat zones out of a total of almost 2.5 million troops, Pentagon records show. In both wars, 152 women have died from combat or noncombat causes, records show, and 958 have been wounded in action.

It doesn’t matter the sex of the trigger puller…other armies have women combat rolls ,,,

That doesn’t make it any better though. I still just can’t get my head around women on the frontline. I know equality and all of that BUT. Let’s not waste the Good women that we have. WAR is STUPID period.

We women are just as capable of men fighting for our rights and country.
The Original Just Me December 4th, 2015 at 09:46
I have never diminished a woman’s rights to defend her country. Ours is a country that belongs equally to all of it’s citizens. I only address a mixture of sexes on a front line of battle. It is human nature of the man thing that bothers me. Battle always increases a man’s Macho drive, Hence Rape and pillage after a battle is won. I would not like to see a woman placed so near to a male who is pumped up on battle testosterone. I guess I am over the line in this but it does bother me.

No, it is a sense of entitlement that men have. Control yourselves, isn’t that what men tell women? :)
The Original Just Me December 4th, 2015 at 17:11
I agree only you left out one important word, some. As in Some men have.

behind a lot of other nations, but what the heck!
(will they also be required to ‘register’ for a draft @ age 18 – like men still are?)
Suzanne McFly December 3rd, 2015 at 13:57
Only a matter of time before we will have to register.
Suzanne McFly December 3rd, 2015 at 13:56
We are getting closer to equality women, this is a huge step in the right direction.
Pat December 3rd, 2015 at 16:11
No. It’s a stupid idea that puts women at risk.
Suzanne McFly December 3rd, 2015 at 16:44
You were and still are a stupid idea. You don’t think women are at risk currently in the military? Well if you don’t think they are than your ignorance is astounding to say the least.
Pat December 3rd, 2015 at 17:26
This is why you are surrounded by dogs instead of loving offspring…
The Original Just Me December 3rd, 2015 at 17:30
I think you are stepping over the line there Pat. Just my opinion BUT .
tracey marie December 3rd, 2015 at 22:54
it has always stepped over the line, it is a troll.
Suzanne McFly December 3rd, 2015 at 18:12
Would love to have you say that to my face. And what do you know about my life besides zilch?
The Original Just Me December 3rd, 2015 at 17:36
I replied to him on your behalf.
Suzanne McFly December 3rd, 2015 at 18:13
Not the best reply IMO and you upvoted him? Thanks for the thought but I am good at fighting my own battles.
The Original Just Me December 3rd, 2015 at 23:10
Sorry, I meant no disrespect for you. I know full well that you are very capable at holding and defending your own. I do respect you for that ability. It was just my Old School mentality that women are something special and should be treated with Respect that kicked in. I just don’t appreciate people who put women down especially someone I like such as yourself. I often do engage in discussions when some one attacks or disrespects women I like. Just my Old School thing kicking in again. I totally feel that women are very capable and equal to men at many if not all levels. It is just that I see women as Gods Greatest Creation after he experimented with his first Proto Type Human, Adam. As for the up vote, it was only used to get his attention to my post. Maybe I was wrong in using it in that manner.

I did not want to criticize your actions, you are a good person with good intentions and I know that. But it was the fact that you claimed you were doing it for me that bothered me. I have no problem with you confronting jerks on here, but I am not a female who is waiting for a man to ‘save me’, I can take care of myself and to say otherwise is what burned me. All is good, I understand where you were coming from.
The Original Just Me December 3rd, 2015 at 14:25
Maybe I’m too old or something but I just don’t like the idea of women on the front line. Too many possible distractions.
Pat December 3rd, 2015 at 16:10
It is common sense.
Killing women is a stupid policy.
The Original Just Me December 3rd, 2015 at 17:29
Killing of Good womanhood is a terrible waste for MAN kind.
Pat December 3rd, 2015 at 16:10
Equality is such a stupid idea.
The Original Just Me December 3rd, 2015 at 17:35
Equality should be in many places. But, I agree that women Do Not belong on the front line. Of coarse I think that even having a need for a front line is STUPID .

Till I saw the draft that was of 7926 dollars, I accept that my friend’s brother was like really generating cash in his free time with his pc. . His aunt’s neighbor has done this for only 8 months and by now repaid the loan on their home and bought a new Car .Why not try this. dce…

The Muslim woman that murdered all those people in California is proof that a woman is capable of serving in the military. And let these same poor helpless women refugees into the country also. The hypocrisy of the left!
tracey marie December 10th, 2015 at 23:22
who said she was a refugee?
