Former Marine Sergeant Tayyib Rashid responded to Donald Trump’s call for IDs for Muslims by showing his Marine badge on Twitter. He appeared on radio with me Monday night.

RASHID: I will say that his comments do not help promote peace. I believe that his comments are very divisive, and quite frankly extremely dangerous. Because being the leader that he is, being in the position that he is, he has influence over a lot of people. And I think that it’s really dangerous for someone in his position to say the kind of things that he does because ultimately that might result in something like the Planned Parenthood shooting.
