Rubio: We Must Ignore Court Decisions For God’s Law
Pandering to the religious right, Marco Rubio says God’s law trumps (you’ll pardon the expression) court rulings.
“In essence, if we are ever ordered by a government authority to personally violate and sin — violate God’s law and sin — if we’re ordered to stop preaching the Gospel, if we’re ordered to perform a same-sex marriage as someone presiding over it, we are called to ignore that,” Rubio said in an interview with CBN on Tuesday.
“So when those two come into conflict, God’s rules always win,” he added.
Rubio said Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision creating a constitutional right to abortion, is open to revision.“It’s current law; it’s not settled law,” he said. “No law is settled. Roe v. Wade is current law, but it doesn’t mean that we don’t continue to aspire to fix it, because we think it’s wrong.”

tracey marie November 25th, 2015 at 16:23
I get very angry when little boys and men try and dictate my life.
Roctuna November 25th, 2015 at 17:14
And rightly so. Little boys and littler men
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 20:20
I like your attitude but what is all this business, theocracy, hypocrite, and liar stuff ?
Gina Bousquet November 25th, 2015 at 14:46
I thought your country was a secular Democratic Republic, but Republicans are always eager to put God’s law before the US Constitution.
katkelly57 November 25th, 2015 at 14:54
They flunked reading comprehension.
Gina Bousquet November 25th, 2015 at 15:06
We can assume that… :)
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 20:17
A little English lesson; Assume is Ass-U-Me. To assume is to make an ass out of you and me. Just having fun.
Gina Bousquet November 25th, 2015 at 20:27
lolololol Valuable lesson! :)
Larry Schmitt November 25th, 2015 at 15:35
And civics, and history, and geography…

It doesn’t matter kat and they will never change.
You cannot reason out a myth that was not reasoned in.
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 19:51
If you don’t believe in it, how can you Flunk it ?
anothertoothpick November 25th, 2015 at 16:36

Thank you my friend, to you as well! :)
anothertoothpick November 25th, 2015 at 16:40
Have you noticed that nobody sells good greeting cards anymore? The kind you send in the mail.
Gina Bousquet November 25th, 2015 at 16:41
True! I was a fan of sending letters, not anymore. :) But I miss it. I like the ink on paper thing.
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 19:49
Awe, the smell of fresh ink in the morning.
Gina Bousquet November 25th, 2015 at 19:56
The papers, yeah! :)
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 19:48

The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 19:46
Yea, that First Amendment is a real Pin In The A$$ for them.
Suzanne McFly November 25th, 2015 at 19:59
They only know about the Second Amendment, they don’t even realize there is a First Amendment. Counting is hard, but a baseball game with them would be funny as hell to watch. They would run to second base after skipping first and then you just better duck cause I have no idea what they do after that.
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 20:47
Short Stop, that’s why Republican women are always Grumpy.
Suzanne McFly November 25th, 2015 at 20:49
I could add a couple of thoughts, but it is best to just walk away lol.
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 23:00
Giggle, Giggle, have a Nice T day .
Gina Bousquet November 25th, 2015 at 20:01
It is, but they don’t seem to care much about the Constitution, in speeches at least, except for the second, with the militias….
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 20:50
Oh Yea, Republican Militias. The New White NAZI Police Force.
Gina Bousquet November 25th, 2015 at 20:57
I think it’s fair to call them that…
bpollen November 26th, 2015 at 04:03
We’re not all racist asses and Malthusian elitists here. It’s just hard to hear those of us who believe that “all men are created equal” thing. But, since it’s not in the 2nd or 10th Amendment, it don’t mean nothin’ to the loud-mouths.
Gina Bousquet November 26th, 2015 at 11:53
You’re right, the Republicans are darn Malthusian, and they are loud, shameless people! Thankfully there are Liberals, Democrats, Socialists… :)
rg9rts November 25th, 2015 at 14:56
We can ignore you on your way to prison too
FatRat November 25th, 2015 at 15:09
I object to Rubio’s asinine statements.
Ape Law > God’s rules.
(Objection. The accused is indeed a man. Therefore, he has no rights under ape law.)

they just get dumber and dumber.
Larry Schmitt November 25th, 2015 at 15:31
Even Israel isn’t a theocracy, what makes this rube (get it?) think he can make one of this country? Damn, I’m sick of these fools.
labman57 November 25th, 2015 at 15:46
Another theocracy-minded POTUS wannabe declares that biblical law trumps constitutional law.
Yet another reason why religious dogma and public policy make poor bedfellows.
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 19:44
Hey, it’s anything for a vote.
anothertoothpick November 25th, 2015 at 15:48
Eight out of the ten comandments are legal in this country.
For now.
Gindy51 November 25th, 2015 at 16:19
Wrong asshole. By the way, which version of god are you talking about, I mean which Xtian version….
Chris November 25th, 2015 at 19:32
For some reason, I would not consult Marco Rubio for information on what constitutes “God’s Law.” Yokels like him in the past would say it was God’s Law for slaves to obey their masters and women to defer to men without the ability to vote.
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 19:43
I’m thinking about the defer to men part. interesting, Very Interesting.
The Original Just Me November 25th, 2015 at 19:41
God’s law, now would that be the Sharia law version ?
Gina Bousquet November 25th, 2015 at 20:07
Good question. They wish for a Christian equivalent.
Suzanne McFly November 25th, 2015 at 19:55
Well if your ‘ordered’ to preach the Bible, you have chosen which side you are on and it is not the side of a lawmaker.
KillAllTheRednecks . November 25th, 2015 at 21:27
Republicans claim the right to ignore the law…..while at the same time demanding that everyone else must obey the law, OR ELSE!
Sam November 25th, 2015 at 21:31
Religious extremes using God’s law everyday to fit their politicals agendas.
Sounds like the American Taliban disguised as Republicans is turing the pandering up a knotch..
bpollen November 26th, 2015 at 03:58
If you can get the Big G to testify, under oath (so help me, me!) what his laws are, and just where in the Constitution it created this 4th Ultimate Branch of the government, then I might just consider the veracity of his claim. Until then, I’ll stick with “Rubio is an incomptetent panderer who can’t even stand out in this Redneck Racist Marathon they call a primary.” A.S.S.H.O.L.E. for short.
MyDogsAreSmarterThanYou November 26th, 2015 at 09:42
Yeah, because so many people in this country have been forced to stop preaching the Gospel and to perform marriages for same-sex couples against their will. Not.
“Boogety, boogety, them homo atheists are gonna get ya! Vote for meee!!!!”
fahvel November 26th, 2015 at 10:14
the image is elegant – that of the usa turning the other cheek (possibly Trenton?) after an invasion and disarming it’s troops to commit no violence and love the little children ( in a nice way) . this is a sad man.
crc3 November 26th, 2015 at 12:10
Rubio is as clueless as the rest of the Repulsives. The Bible (as an example) was written by MAN and is highly flawed and contradictory. NOBODY really knows what God thinks about anything. It’s just speculation. It’s a crap shoot. Rules of God? Maybe The Ten Commandments come about as close as it will ever be concerning how God feels about mankind. Any atheist or agnostic who is good and decent will probably live by those same rules. Rubio needs to get a clue or a hundred…
Böcker November 26th, 2015 at 13:00
And to think this d*ckhead is a US senator, what a loser. We are not a Christian nation.
Pamela Knight Delgado November 27th, 2015 at 01:06
Well you can ignore the law, but you’d better not do it in public. Jails don’t look so bad when you are on the outside looking in. Inside, that’s not the case.
