Andy Parker: The NRA Has ‘Perverted’ The Republican Party

Posted by | October 5, 2015 07:30 | Filed under: Politics Radio Interviews

Andy Parker, father of gunned-down journalist Alison Parker, reacted to the Oregon massacre on my radio show Friday night.

Parker has dedicated his life to convincing politicians to pass sensible gun laws. He told me why he used to be a Reagan Republican but now thinks groups like the NRA and others have “perverted” the party. He says President Obama is right to say the issue needs to be politicized and that the NRA’s goal is to “scare the hell out of people.”

The NRA and all radical ammosexuals have not only perverted the republican party, but all conversations about guns as well as the actual intent of the second amendment.

Yeah, but what about all those imperialistic government takeovers and mass gun gathering that have been quelled by armed citizens?

I warn you. One day, you will kill the repukes/rightwingers/gun nuts with facts.

Andy Parker has already been cast aside, he served his purpose for liberals and they’ve moved on. He can now join Cindy Sheehan, Wendy Davis, Sandra Fluke.

      Where is your compassion?
This man has lost his beautiful daughter who was gunned down.
You really are a fcking stupid bastard.

My compassion? I’m not the one who used a grieving man for a photo op and cheap publicity and then tossed him aside.

No one is using this man, he is using the soapbox bastards such as yourself gave him because you refuse to make others take a simple background check before they purchase a killing machine. Keep perverting facts so you feel justified in your ignorance.

          • Red Eye Robot October 5th, 2015 at 17:17

He was used, do you think the media would have paid a single moment of attention to him had he came out in favor of gun rights after the shooting of his daughter? They would have portrayed him as a lunatic. Now that the media has used him he cant get the media’s attention. He has served his brief purpose. The 16 year old girl wounded in oregon and her family have come out in favor of gun rights. The media? Crickets.

            • Suzanne McFly October 5th, 2015 at 18:17

What 16 year old child are you talking about? You are picking one story about one person being shot, I am talking about people who commit mass murders, big difference. If anyone who was related to a mass murderer came out and supported them having a gun, you best believe that would’ve made the news. You just keep pulling this crap out of your ass that does not apply to any conversation, it just proves you have nothing.

          Cheap publicity?
That’s how you really see it?
Again, you really are a fcking stupid bastard with no compassion.
The man is still grieving and speaking out against guns like many people affected or not by guns because it’s a real cancer to the society.

The NRA and the GOP It’s a symbiotic relationship.

    • jybarz October 5th, 2015 at 09:32

      It’s about right… actually it’s exactly right!

  4. dagobarbz October 5th, 2015 at 09:59

The NRA has done its share. Fundamental Christianity isn’t helping the GOP either.

  5. rg9rts October 5th, 2015 at 10:32

    Its all about power

I’m not sure about this one…..the Republicans have perverts that go a long way back in history. I doubt that Larry Craig learned how to communicate in men’s rooms from the NRA.

      Why do you hate gays?

  7. liberalMD October 7th, 2015 at 00:24

I’m not sure of the connection between perverts and gays. I don’t think there is an association.
