Chafee: Trump Should Run For Governor First
Democratic presidential candidate Lincoln Chafee says Donald Trump should run for New York governor first if he’s serious about politics. He was on my radio show Wednesday night talking about his campaign, how he can get some traction, and where he stands on key issues. He also opined on Hillary Clinton:
COLMES: Does Hillary have an email problem?
CHAFEE: I think so, testifying under oath that now some of the issues that are coming out, the testimony was not accurate. We’ll see how it goes. I think Americans want to look to the future.
COLMES: Do you think she lied? I mean that’s a big issue in the campaign if you believe that’s something she can be vulnerable about. Do you think she lied under oath?
CHAFEE: I’m not the only one saying there’s a credibility issue with Secretary Clinton…
COLMES: How do you feel about the Republican field? You see a guy like Trump doing so well with the right. How do you account for that?
CHAFEE: I don’t understand it. He hasn’t held elective office neither has Carly Fiorina or Ben Carson, Dr. Carson. Even Ronald Reagan ran for governor of California first.
COLMES: That’s right and he was president of the Screen Actors Guild and ran a union.
CHAFEE: Run for Governor of New York, Mr. Trump, see how you do.

“Democratic presidential candidate Lincoln Chafee” That’s an Onion article, right?

You have to love the irony of a candidate that virtually no one knows, giving the most prominently covered candidate advice.

Even his family doesn’t know he’s a candidate.

Don’t tell his wife. She just thinks he is working late at the office.

She won’t find out from me. I doubt she ever comes here.

She probably stays at home,—- with the drapes closed.

Well, we do have Airhead to Airhead communication here.

Naw, that would never work. The Local Folks know him too well.

Living in New York with him as governor would be worse than California with Reagan. He’d probably try to move the capital to NYC. He’d get Mexico to pay for it.

At least Reagan came across as Mr. Nice Guy. Trump is just a Bar Room Loud Mouth.

He should start off small.
Governor of Mississippi.
