Dr. Ruth was a sniper in the forerunner of what became the Israeli Defense Forces. She talked to me on radio Friday night about that, about seeing her father carted off by the Nazis when she was a little girl, sex after 50, and her concerns about the Iran nuclear deal. Her two children and three marriages also came up for discussion. She’s promoting her new book, The Doctor Is In, a much more personal tome than her dozens of other books. When I asked her what sex was like at 87, she snapped back, “Next question!”
