Kim Davis Lawyer: Gay Marriage Leading America ‘Into The Very Pit Of Hell’
Kim Davis’s lawyer, Mat Staver, made these comments at a Reclaiming America for Christ conference in July.
“We need to stop playing charades,” Staver thundered, “thinking that five individuals can re-write God’s natural, created order of marriage as a union of a man and a woman, and 320 million Americans are simply just going to follow them like the Pied Piper off the cliff into the very pit of Hell. If that’s what they think, they have something else coming because as for me and my household, I will not obey those five! I will obey God rather than man and they have shaken their fist in the face of the Creator and we must resist that.”
The ruling, he warned, “is a grave sin. There will be judgment on those five unless they repent.”

How many times do these guys get to claim this will happen before their heads finally explode? It seems like we have had these deja vu moments every day for the last 10 years and the world hasn’t ended yet.

I just hope there’s a camera running when it happens. I wanna see it.
Suzanne McFly September 19th, 2015 at 11:38
I don’t think it will be that messy, they do not have much grey matter to expel.

Louisville, Lexington, Covington(just opposite of Cincy), Owensboro, and Bowling Green(WKU) are what many consider the “normal” parts of Kentucky.

When I was in the Navy I dated a guy from Kentucky and he was a very nice guy as well as incredibly handsome. He told me stories about Kentucky but we were in Iceland so it was hard to fully comprehend how nice it was in a place that seemed so far away.
KipSmithers September 19th, 2015 at 12:36
The people here usually are, even the rough ones have a kindness to them.
Tommie September 18th, 2015 at 22:03
No worries we do not generalize like the Republicans!
KipSmithers September 18th, 2015 at 22:31
Oh, I’m sure some do. Like Bill Maher said: The Dems have issues, but there are so many in the GOP from CrazyTown.”.
Tommie September 18th, 2015 at 22:48
Agreed!

Mike September 18th, 2015 at 22:14
Nice to know your god of love cherishes the creatures he created so much he made a special place of eternal fire, pain, torture, and suffering just in case one of them loves another one of the same sex.
Can’t be a god, someone would have bitch slapped his dumb as by now.
Chris September 18th, 2015 at 23:28
Oh, yes! It’s just been hellacious here in Iowa ever since they allowed the gays to marry back in 2009. That was just six short years ago. Fire and brimstone rain down every single day. Numerous unidentifiable winged creatures feast on our flesh. No traffic can enter our state due to the broken up roads from unending earthquakes.
Wait..never mind. I was mixing up reality with “The Day After Tomorrow”, “Left Behind”, and “This Is The End”.
Sorry.
rg9rts September 19th, 2015 at 05:08
You did get Steve King and Ernst
Larry Schmitt September 19th, 2015 at 07:24
Oh, the horror.
rg9rts September 19th, 2015 at 07:26
They picked them
Chris September 19th, 2015 at 08:33
Thanks for reminding me, although we had King much before the gay marriage issue hit. He’s just our omnipresent thorn in the flesh.

“I will obey God rather than man”
Gee, that’s what Kim thought before she went to jail. Need a lesson?
University of Kentucky really has to be proud of this guy.

ISIS holds the same beliefs. They just think Christians are no better than gay people. So …
bpollen September 19th, 2015 at 15:51
The goddess? Sorry, don’t believe in man-made religions.
The terrorist organization? Yeah, they ARE known for obeying what they say Gawd wants and ignoring the rule of man, so I guess Kim would find some definite kinship there. But why mention to me that Kim should join? I’m sure she’d love to hear the suggestion from you.
jybarz September 19th, 2015 at 11:52
I don’t really feel the need to be sick by listening/watching the video.
I think people like Staver, Kim Davis, Fckabee are truly the ones making life on Earth a REAL HELL.

And he thinks only one can rewrite the law that this country was founded on? God said “give God what is God’s. Give Caesar what is Caesar’s.” Nowhere did he say that if you vote for gay marriage, you’re all going to hell. OH, and then there’s that pesky problem he’s going to have that not everyone in this country believes in God, or practices his form of Christianity, or Christianity at all. You’ve got Hindu’s, Buddhists, Jews, Wiccans, Universalists, Methodists, Catholics, Pentecostals, Baptist, Evangelicals, Protestants, Lutherans, Seventh day Adventists, Mormons, Satanists, Druids, Muslims, and I’m sure I am missing a boatload of other faiths. Last but not least, don’t forget about the Atheists. They don’t believe in any God or religion.
Oh, and did anyone tell this guy that gay people have obviously been around since somebody wrote Leviticus? Romans were cool with it.
