Deputy’s Act Of Kindness Goes Viral

The Victorville, CA officer was caught on camera helping an elderly man in a wheelchair onto a bus.

A witness, identified only as Mr. Haston, emailed photos to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, showed deputy Nathan Sims sitting on a  bus bench next to a man in a wheelchair “perhaps just keeping him company as he waited for the bus to arrive.”

Sims was also photographed helping the man onto a bus.

The scene led my thoughts to believe that the deputy was paying honor and respect to this gentleman,” a letter sent to Victorville’s watch commander said. “Thank you Sir for the integrity of this man under your supervision.”

Across most of the world no-one would think anything of it. What is so amazing about behaving decently?

Because the racist and crooked cops mess it up for the good cops who are really trying to help people and watching the news you hardly here anything good about cops, so maybe incidents like this will help, at least a little bit!

I am sure good cops are doing stuff like this thousands of times a day across America.

I know for a fact there are good cops. But most of the good cops will keep silent about their co-workers malfeasance, which makes them co-conspirators… And those that do are ostracized by the “good” cops too.

Too bad the ‘roid squad ruins it for the good ones.
    Less ‘roids, less rage.

No testing, no data, but I believe you’re exactly right. Body cameras might help but pee in a cup after every shooting, take-down, pistol-whipping, multiple tasering, and otherwise questionable arrest. If there was a subsequent penalty for juicers numbers on those indicents would drop like a rock.

Like the Blake takedown in Manhattan

That 1% makes the other 99% look good….I’ll hold off on getting all squishy inside until I see a White cop pushing a wheelchair with an elderly Black man on to a bus (that doesn’t have the words “Dept of Corrections” on the side)

    Some people respect their elders
