Muslim Flight Attendant Refuses To Serve Alcohol
So, this is what it’s come to. You take a job and then impose your religious beliefs to decide what you will or will not do, even though you knew what the job entailed when you took it. The flight attendant is fighting her suspension.
In a bid to get her job back, Charee Stanley filed a discrimination complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Tuesday for the revocation of a reasonable religious accommodation.

She wants to do her job without serving alcohol in accordance with her Islamic faith — just as she was doing before her suspension, her lawyer said.
“What this case comes down to is no one should have to choose between their career and religion and it’s incumbent upon employers to provide a safe environment where employees can feel they can practice their religion freely,” said Lena Masri, an attorney with Michigan chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Excuse me but when she took this job she knew or should of it involved serving booze. It’s a secular job, don’t like it quit.

She was not muslim when she took the job. She converted three years ago.

Converting doesn’t change her job description

I think serving alcohol on planes is a bad idea.
Dr. Arthur Frederick Ide September 8th, 2015 at 13:59
That is your right to forego alcohol when you fly. It is not your right to deny anyone access to or consumption of alcohol when they are a passenger on a plane. Others may think it is a good idea serving alcohol on a plane.

I learned to think for myself and not participate in any kind of group-think. That makes me a pariah on both the right and the left. If two people always agree, one of them is not thinking. If you only associate with people who always agree with you, either you’re not thinking or your friends aren’t thinking.

Islam bans this flight attendant from consuming alcohol, not serving alcohol. Just as Kim Davis’ religion bans her from marrying another female, not issuing licenses to those of the same gender who wish to marry.
No one is demanding that the flight attendant who is Muslim drink alcohol, just serve alcohol. No one is demanding that Kim Davis marry another female, the SCOTUS just states that she must allow others to marry the person whom they love.

Here’s my take (I’m an atheist for what it matters). She can prove its against her religion. Kim Davies can’t. Jesus said nothing against gays (or abortion, but that’s another story). Kim would have to cite the Old Testament, the same book she has violated many of it’s laws. Therefore, her claim about it being against her religion is false.

the next issue will be how someone who prays 5 times a day is accommodated in the workd force!
