Donald Trump is fond of saying that is favorite book is the Bible. And, in the same breath, he also makes sure and gets in a shameless plug for his own tome, The Art of the Deal, which he claims is his second favorite book.
And then just yesterday, during an interview with Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, the Donald proudly declared:

You’re kidding right…the god of the christian bible enjoyed killing…more than almost anything else, and he wasn’t very picky…
Child abuse (Judges 11:29-40 and Isaiah 13:16), and bashing babies against rocks (Hosea 13:16 & Psalms 137:9) and ripping the unborn from their wombs….. In Judges 21, He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped , but women who have known a man are to be sliced open and all inside thrown aside.
It boggles the mind how anyone could imagine this entity would be loving…the christian god is a murderous psychopath by today’s standard…it’s a frightening story that should never be told to children.

A big chunk of Ezekiel, chapters 25-32, is a list of different nations that had been mean to Israel over the years, and what god was going to do to pay them back. Egypt and the Pharaoh come in for some extra heavy payback. There’s your loving god.

This phony should watch himself on TV some time. It should be obvious to anyone watching after 15 seconds that he has no idea what’s in the bible, hasn’t set foot in a church for years, and is not a Christian. I have no problem with him not attending church, but he’s trying to claim that he is a practicing Christian, and he obviously is not. Any 8 year old who goes to Sunday school can name a bible verse, he can’t. Why do people keep giving his phony butt a pass?

Most christians haven’t read the bible either, so that, in it self, isn’t a dig as such.
As it is, only about 40% of christians attend church more that Christmas and Easter.
(The old CE members) They had to stretch the criteria to get ‘regular’ attendance above the 50% mark. It’s basically Christmas, Easter, a wedding and a funeral.
