Clueless Duggars Can’t Get Over Public Not Forgiving Molestation, Cover-Up
It appears Jim-Bob and Michelle Duggar are so invested in the Christian rapture cult’s “get out of Hell free if we just ask Jaayzus and everyone’ll accept it” forgiveness meme that they cannot understand exactly why the public is unwilling to excuse not only their son Josh’s serial molestation but an elaborate cover-up to keep law enforcement out until the statute of limitations had expired.
People magazine reports:
Three months ago a scandal turned their world upside-down – and the Duggar family is still trying to figure out a way forward.
“They are still stunned that this is how it has all gone down,” a source who has worked closely with them tells PEOPLE in this week’s cover story. “I think they are still trying to absorb the fact that their life has so radically changed.”
In mid-May, oldest son Josh, 27, apologized for his earlier “wrongdoing:” A 2006 police report revealed that he molested five underage girls as a teen, and his sisters Jill, 24, and Jessa, 22, subsequently stepped forward as two of the victims. Since then, the sprawling reality TV family has struggled to move on following the cancellation of their hit TLC show, 19 Kids and Counting. … When it comes to Josh’s “mistakes,” parents Michelle, 48, and Jim Bob, 50, “truly felt people would understand and eventually be okay with it,” adds the source.
Jessa, Jill, Jim Bob and Michelle have all publicly said they forgive Josh, now a married father of four, and “none of the Duggars think Josh is to blame” for the tremendous fallout, says the source.
Really? A serial molester and his enablers are not responsible? As if that wasn’t enough living in denial, there’s also this:
Instead, it is the officials who released the police records about Josh and his young victims who are the focus of the family’s anger.
Well, ain’t that special – they expect forgiveness, but seem unwilling to forgive those who exposed Josh Duggar’s sick criminal behavior. They must love making the Baby Jesus cry. ‘Nuff said.

From Friends – Rachel: And hey, just so you know, it’s not that common, it doesn’t happen to every guy, and it is a big deal!
Not the same thing, but the sentiment applies. Failing to understand reality, world reality, a wider view is no excuse. They covered for a pedophile, didn’t seek proper treatment for the victims or perpetrator and then denied having done anything wrong. Of course, they haven’t been forgiven, they haven’t accepted responsibility.

Actions have consequences, Duggars.
Get a real job.
Bunya August 19th, 2015 at 13:35
Imagine that. Those who claim to be our moral superiors, can’t understand why we don’t like it when THEY act immorally. Your Jesus may be quick to forgive – Not so the viewing public.
.
Oh well, it looks like the gravy train isn’t stopping at the Duggar household anymore. I guess daddy is gonna have to resort to getting a real job to support those 19 kids he and his irresponsible wife had.
whatthe46 August 19th, 2015 at 13:44
don’t be so quick about the getting a real job. check this out: http://latest.com/2015/08/duggars-trying-to-pitch-new-tlc-show-where-they-counsel-sex-abuse-victims-insiders/
Bunya August 19th, 2015 at 13:51
How very Christian of them! Capitalizing on their immorality. It proves just one thing, the almighty dollar is their god. I truly hope nobody sponsors their potential show and it’s dead in the water before it even starts.
Larry Schmitt August 19th, 2015 at 13:55
I just don’t get what people who watch crap like those shows are looking for. Hitting your head repeatedly with a concrete block is more productive than wasting time watching them.

Forgive? The people who exposed the pervert Josh have nothing to be forgiven for.

That look on her face in the Fox screen shot is priceless. “What do they want from us? We’re not bad people.”

Agreed, she has Michelle Bachman eyes (BSC!)

It’s all big “mistake”! Josh thought his WWJD bracelet stood for What Would Jared (from Subway) Do. /s At least Jared molested outside his nuclear family. Maybe the Duggar’s will try to get Josh to be the new spokesman for Subway, if the counseling gig falls thru. lol

He can always consult Jared Fogle about the whole footlong thing.

When I was a young child, I remember some older people talk about how they solved a problem like the Duggars. They would set the house on fire when they all left for church. Problem solved by the time the service let out. I never knew if they were serious or not, I was young at the time. It kept me in line though.

Anyone who is convinced by someone rolling on the floor speaking in tongues, or that a sky god impregnated a woman who gave birth to a man god who was killed, came back to life, and rose up to heaven, as proof of an almighty, doesn’t really have the critical thinking skills necessary to deal with this fiasco they’ve got themselves into.
It is logically impossible for an omniscient, omnipotent, god to create a being with free will…
JMO of course.

That’s why it’s a religion and not a science

magic and fairy tale
Apocalypse August 19th, 2015 at 18:43
Maybe it’s part of their religion.
“And it came to pass after this, that Amnon the son of David loved the sister of Absalom the son of David, who was very beautiful, and her name was Thamar. And he was exceedingly fond of her, so that he fell sick for the love of her: for as she was a virgin, he thought it hard to do any thing dishonestly with her. [II Kings 13:1-2 ] And Thamar came to the house of Amnon her brother: but he was laid down: and she took meal and tempered it: and dissolving it in his sight she made little messes. And taking what she had boiled, she poured it out, and set it before him, but he would not eat: and Amnon said: Put out all persons from me. And when they had put all persons out, Amnon said to Thamar: Bring the mess into the chamber, that I may eat at thy hand. And when she had presented him the meat, he took hold of her, and said: Come lie with me, my sister. She answered him: Do not so, my brother, do not force me: for no such thing must be done in Israel. Do not thou this folly. [II Kings 13:8-12] But he would not hearken to her prayers, but being stronger overpowered her and lay with her. [II Kings 13:14]”

And they prayed long and hard over it too

““none of the Duggars think Josh is to blame” for the tremendous fallout, says the source.”
And I agree – Josh isn’t the one to blame for this fallout. He was a teenager at the time. It’s his parents that are to blame, for failing to raise him to respect women during his teenage years, for covering it up, and for thinking this was a situation that would just blow over. Had they been repentant for their failure as parents and for their covering up of it, people wouldn’t be nearly so outraged. They’d still be outraged, but the fallout would have merely been big, not “tremendous”.
Bunya August 20th, 2015 at 14:15
They’d still be outraged, not because their son diddled little girls, but because of their blatant hypocrisy.
Manastas August 20th, 2015 at 06:13
These people are gross, just gross.
poliltimmy August 20th, 2015 at 10:13
Here lies the problem with her faith. She believes that since her faith says all she has to do to be forgiven is ask someone other than the victims for it. Mean while society as a whole, rarely forgives and never forgets..
Rayvyn007 August 20th, 2015 at 12:36
They covered up the abuse of children by one of their massive litter. Then they wonder why all the negative feelings from the people. They need to go and ask a Catholic priest who got busted diddling little kids why the press is against them. Sheeesh. These people are like some crazy cult.

Clueless ,,,,,, I think you are overrating them
