NBC Un-Suspends Brian Williams

He’s (almost) baaaaaack!

The former “NBC Nightly News” anchor and managing editor — who was suspended without pay after he admitted in February that a story he recounted several times about coming under enemy fire while aboard a helicopter in Iraq was false — will begin his new position as an MSNBC breaking news anchor next month, CNN Money reported Tuesday.

An MSNBC spokesperson confirmed to The Hill‘s ITK that Williams will be rejoining the network sometime in September, indicating no firm date has been set.

“I am fully aware of the second chance I have been given. I don’t intend to squander it,” Williams told Matt Lauer on the “Today” show in June.

David Hirsch, a.k.a. Dave "Doctor" Gonzo*, is a renegade record producer, video producer, writer, reformed corporate shill, and still-registered lobbyist for non-one-percenter performing artists and musicians. He lives in a heavily fortified compound in one of Manhattan's less trendy neighborhoods.

* Hirsch is the third person to use the pseudonym, a not-so-veiled tribute to journalist and author Hunter S. Thompson, with the permission of his predecessors Gene Gaudette of American Politics Journal (currently webmaster and chief bottlewasher at Liberaland) and Stephen Meese at Smashmouth Politics.

Is this really that important? Other than to Brian that is.

I think it will take a while before people start trusting him again but it is possible some may forgive him! If people can forgive Bill O’Reilly, why not Brian? IMO!
