Luntz: Trump’s Words ‘Not Great For Democracy’

Pollster Frank Luntz, whose questioning of Trump led to his remarks on John McCain, says Trump’s comments are “not great for Democracy.”. Luntz believes Trump’s refusal to back down from the controversy shows he might be planning a 3rd party run:

LUNTZ: I don’t know if this is all that great for our democracy that we are accusing people of being “dummies,” and “morons,” and “idiots.” And the election is still 16 months away…

I think that in his head, the more outrageous he gets, I believe he’s actually contemplating the idea of a third party candidacy.

COLMES: Does he think he can win?

LUNTZ: Yes, I think that he thinks he can do anything. I think he thinks that he competed in the Olympics in shotput.

    “I think he thinks that he competed in the Olympics in shotput.” That’s pretty funny. But he wouldn’t even be able to lift it, much less put it. Except in his own mind.

    We already knew that, calling people dummies, morons and idiots is part of his forte. We also know that their are plenty of people who will agree with everything he spews out of his ass! we can only hope he runs as a 3rd party, PLEASE DO!

      But it would be the best thing for democracy if the Republicans lost everything for 40 years. It’ll take at least that long to fix the damage they have done.

        I’ve been seeing So-called Democrats also wanting Trump for president. Maybe it’s time for all parties to stop thinking “party” and start thinking American?

    Frank, you were one of the architects that built the Gop into the party of demagoguery, intolerance, and destruction of civility, so own it.
    The Frankenstein monster is gonna take a few of his creators down with him, maybe many, we can hope.

    I don’t know if this is all that great for our democracy …. many of the statements coming off the GOP clown bus fits that description
