“Pear pimples for hairy fishnuts” may be making a comeback! Cartoonist Berkeley Breathed looks poised to relaunch the “Bloom County” comic strip, as is hinted on his Facebook page:

A return after 25 years. Feels like going home.

“Bloom County’s” famous concluding storyline had Donald Trump buying out Bloom County and firing the entire staff of characters. Like “Bloom County,” Breathed’s later Sunday strips, “Outland” and “Opus”, skewered American politics and culture with a combination of scathing satire and hilarious absurdism.

    This is some of the best news I’ve heard in about 25 years!

    I had a (unpublished) comic strip with a friend of mine in high school.
    It was HEAVILY influenced by Bloom County.
