Franklin Graham To Conduct Prayer Rallies To Get Christians Elected
The son of Billy Graham is planning prayer rallies for all 50 states to mobilize Christians for the purpose of electing more Christians to public office.
In 2016, I plan to hold prayer rallies in all 50 states. I believe God has called us to this. We’re naming it the Decision America Tour. I want to challenge Christians across our land to boldly live out their faith and to pray fervently and faithfully for our nation and all its leaders. I want to encourage Christians to get out and vote in the coming election year. We will not be endorsing any political candidates, but I will urge people to vote for those on the ballot who uphold biblical principles, and I will be sharing the life-changing truth of God’s Gospel in every state.
Can you imagine what a difference it could make if in the next election Christians went to the polls in unprecedented numbers? And if Christians ran for every elected office available at all levels—local, state, and national? School board members, city council members, judges, mayors—all of these are such critical positions. Just think of what would happen if the school board in your own community was made up of Christians. I’ll bet things would begin to change for the better in those schools…
Friends, America is in trouble. At age 62, I’ve lived long enough to learn that no political party or politician is the answer. The only hope for this country is Almighty God and His Son. We can’t sit idly by any longer. LGBT activists, abortion rights advocates, aggressive atheist groups, and others who ignore God’s Word are trying to shove their agenda down our throats. We need to take every opportunity to speak up for biblical standards and let our lights shine. We need to work to preserve our religious freedoms so that we can continue to proclaim the Gospel freely.

Franklin Graham wouldn’t know a Christian if he tripped over one. Neither would you, apparently.
To conservative “Christians”, Jesus was a hateful bigot and a bloodthirsty warmonger.
Ricky C. May 13th, 2015 at 08:29
Please explain what a Christian is to you.
Obewon May 13th, 2015 at 09:07
Today’s snake oil selling zealot beliefs are opposite of what most of our USA founders believed: Most of the Founders were Deists, which is to say they thought the universe had a creator, but that he does not concern himself with the daily lives of humans, and does not directly communicate with humans, either by revelation or by sacred books.
The ratified 1796 Treaty with Tripoli is U.S. law and states that the United States was “not in any sense founded on the Christian religion” This was not an idle statement meant to satisfy muslims– they believed it and meant it. This treaty was written under the presidency of George Washington and signed under the presidency of John Adams. http://freethought.mbdojo.com/foundingfathers.html

And it’s the law of the land.
jasperjava May 13th, 2015 at 09:11
A Christian is someone who follows the teachings of Christ.
Precious few of the so-called conservative “Christians” would qualify.
Ricky C. May 14th, 2015 at 14:39
Glad we agree. If someone simply repeats what Christ’s teachings say, everyone should agree with it, unless you don’t believe the Bible or think Christ never existed in the first place. Seems like Atheists get very upset over something they claim never existed. If it’s not real, what difference could it make?
jasperjava May 14th, 2015 at 21:11
What’s real is the way that phony “Christians” want to impose their twisted ideas of “morality” on everyone else.
The existence or non-existence of Christ, or what he said, or whether or not he is divine, or the nature of God, is unimportant to them. All they care about is exercizing power and control over other people, and they use Jesus and the Bible as a handy instrument to spread ignorance, fear, bigotry, and hate.
Ricky C. May 14th, 2015 at 21:55
We know Jesus didn’t hate anyone, He died for everyone. So if we would simply model our lives after Him, everything would be much better in this world.

And, by “Christians”, Graham means embarrassing wackos that haven’t a clue what Christianity is about.
What an embarrassment to the Graham name this guy is.

“… others who ignore God’s Word are trying to shove their agenda down our throats.”
Me thinks this loon should break out the ol’ dictionary and look up the word IRONY.

Once again we see that conservatives preach fealty to the US Constitution but continue to demonstrate they have little inclination to adhere to what it actually says:
Article 6
….
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the members of the several state legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, both of the United States and of the several states, shall be bound by oath or affirmation, to support this Constitution; —but no religious test shall ever be required— as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.

Franklin is no Billy Graham.
Dwendt44 May 13th, 2015 at 12:11
Clearly he will never emerge from the shadow of his father.

Jesus Christ said “Give all the poor”
jasperjava May 13th, 2015 at 07:38
“Just think of what would happen if the school board in your own community was made up of Christians.”
You’d get textbooks saying that America was founded as a “Christian nation”, and that science is from the Devil. No thanks.
Unless of course he’s talking about REAL Christians, who are concerned about the poor and powerless. Not the phony right-wing conservative “Christians” like Franklin Graham who are all about greed, ignorance, and hate.

Biggest problem is stealth candidacy. The have been doing this for years. Run on real issues, then once elected, concentrate on the social agenda.
Budda May 13th, 2015 at 09:34
Well over 90% of todays politicians are Christians. I believe Graham is advocating for more ignorant, stupid, hateful bigot type “Christians”.
Dwendt44 May 13th, 2015 at 12:09
He wants the kind of christians that shove conservative christianity down everyone’s throat.
Buford2k11 May 13th, 2015 at 09:38
I think that the book of Mathew 7:15 is talking about these guys…and the rest of the Media Fakes…

Graham is a bag of bigoted and hate filled hot air. His father would cringe if he knew what his son is doing and saying. Franklin Graham involves himself in politics but preaches “christianity” against the real teachings of Christ which includes love, tolerance, acceptance, compassion, etc. Makes me want to puke…
Angelo_Frank May 13th, 2015 at 12:06
“We will not be endorsing any political candidates, but I will urge people to vote for those on the ballot who uphold biblical principles…”
Walking a fine line on avoiding having his tax-exempt status yanked, this adherent of Christian Dominionism still is attempting to turn this country into a theocratic state, based upon his strict biblical interpretation.

Billy Graham had a Zeus like Command Presence.
When Billy Graham spoke in thundering tones, he seemed like God himself.
Franklin, had never even come close to that.
It didn’t hurt that Billy Graham had the God of Newspaper Publishers known as William Randolph Hearst on his side.
According to Eustace Mullins, William Randolph Hearst sent a telegram to all his editors that said just 2 words – Puff Graham.
Billy Graham took the Bible and made very successful business out of it.
Dwendt44 May 13th, 2015 at 18:25
Billy sucked up to prominent politicians and presidents. He didn’t condemn them one day and expect to be invited to the White House the next. Then to, the climaate of the times means a president HAD to butter up a prominent preacher to make them look more ‘christian’.
Gadea May 13th, 2015 at 18:29
Religion is a business and its goal is to make a profit, just like any other business.
Billy Graham looked like the Hollywood version of God and he took advantage of that and ran with it.
He was very successful and can still draw a crowd.
Dwendt44 May 13th, 2015 at 18:45
But the crowd is way different then his father’s followers.
Gadea May 13th, 2015 at 18:46
Because his son is a poor imitation of his father.

Billy Graham
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yVPFv1IBBA
He could have been saying anything, he could have been ordering people to jump off roofs and a lot of people would have gladly complied.
It was the way Billy Graham looked and his voice, his presence that compelled so many to believe his everyword, regardless of whether it was true or not.
He browned nose Heads of States, Presidents, Chancellors, etc., because he could, because they allowed it.
Had he looked different, they would have never let him in.
His son never got it.
